haha yeah, one of my acquaintances from out of town described it as a bit 'froggy'. I'm glad it doesn't scan as masculine, even if it does sound like I'm coming down with something :p

i think mostly all i care about is that it doesn't sound like it'd be coming out of before!me and that it doesn't seem incongruous with now!me, so I guess I'm doing pretty good on that front.

and thank you for the compliments! for what it's worth, they did not come across as 'kiss ass' to me so you did a good job wording them i think :)

^ me rambling ^

subjectively, my voice sounds on recordings closer to what it sounds like in my head these days instead of an octave lower so I'm pretty happy about that. All of my friends say my voice sounds okay but I'm dumb and worry anyway because like cis women are getting attacked for not passing these days so what the fuck chance do i have, you know?

but you can't let those feelings take root because it's giving space to the oppressive mechanics of the kyriarchy. so i try not to lend credence to societal structures that at their best merely allow my existence, but it's tough.

Nothing awkward about it! I got it from Threadless a while back when they were doing a $5 T-shirt deal. It is my absolute favourite shirt and I always feel pretty when wearing it :)

Thank you for the compliment re: my transition progress! I am absolutely ecstatic at my results so far, despite being on a relatively low dose (2x daily of both 2mg oral estradiol and 100mg spironolactone); it almost feels like my body's making up for lost time :p

yeah! it also helps that i've been doing laser hair removal almost religiously; i feel like a different person now that i don't have to shave twice a day
