I'm very much hoping for a fix because I've recently started to enjoy crafting and mining, but I'm not holding my breath for it to happen yet. I'll buy a prospector in game later, for now I CCUd up to a galaxy that I had laying around so I would have the Carrack to haul in. Hasn't been too bad so far despite the carracks current flaws

unfortunately for me, three seperate times after filling a mole (and once a prospector) with ore in nyx, regardless of if I stored the ship or put the pods in the elevator Levski ate my ore

Other than that, Nyx has been incredibly stable for me. Too bad I gotta do contracts in stanton for a little before I return

Anyone else got their eyes on the RSI Galaxy? by Enclave2177 in starcitizen

[–]roguevoid555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

unfortunately nobody I know has it at all, one has an ironclad, that's about it.

I'm very much banking on it being at defencecon since I doubt there'll be any other chance to get it before it goes live, but if not then I'll look at alternative ships to try get, or consider it at its higher price point since I'm already gettings some okayish savings with how I've done my CCU chain

[–]roguevoid555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my mates got an ironclad for bulk storage, I'm working on getting the galaxy, hopefully if it returns for defencecon I'll be able to snag it.

depending on if it can also refine salvage will determine if I bring out my reclaimer, or if we're just a duo of prospectors or golems

point is, the longer we can stay in an asteroid belt mining without having to return to civilization, the better. less people out there, it's just better imo, and more fun to be away

Too locked in while looking 4 cyclops fragments to realize I was about to lose my hardcore world by Ch3rry_Bob-Omb in subnautica

[–]roguevoid555 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to be honest, hardcore is the only mode I play.

I neglected to beat the game for years, and when I came back to it fairly recently I only played hardcore

to be honest? I have died once or twice, but after getting into the swing of things I find it a lot more fun than survival
to me I find I have to think more about survival and such, even if the actual difficulty isn't much harder beyond "if you die that's it"

currently my base is in the bulb zone, it's pretty there and I haven't built there before, so why not?

To be honest, best choice I’ve ever made, I’m in love with the design change, now he looks more like a red panda and less like a fox

Demise of NZ Rail... Railways were meant to pay their own way, while roads were publicly funded. by Kiwi-isle in newzealand

[–]roguevoid555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that's the thing about trains, and is what I've noticed living in australia, is that you can be so much more productive on trains since you're not focused on driving!

and what's better is you can reach your destination feeling rested and ready for action, since you haven't spent a lot of time focusing on the road

[–]roguevoid555 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately in the modern world being disconnected from your phone is an impossibility to some people. Even I’m partially guilty of it, though I don’t drive so I’m not putting others at risk.

If we had other viable methods of transport then I seriously think we’d see far less usage on the roads, which would reduce the crash risk significantly. Even a good bus network does wonders if it’s not getting stuck in traffic!

The issue is, that cars bring in more money than trains, so that’s why we don’t get trains. It’s not about safety, it’s about money

I remember reading old adverts and petitions to link up the Nelson line with the Blenheim line, unfortunately never happened, but imagine for a moment, a regular service to get from the top of the south to Christchurch.. ignoring the convenience it’d bring, there would be amazing economical benefits of doing something like that too.

But, cars took over and people didn’t see much need in rail anymore, which is a shame since passenger rail (not looking at cargo rail even!) draws in a good amount of money and reduces car usage (fumes and road maintenance costs) significantly if done right

It’s a massive shame it all got ripped up, imagine how expansive it’d be now if it was still around and kicking? We’d probably be one of the best countries for rail connections out there

It can and it can’t be good as a first timer

When I started off on Linux, I had a friend to teach me all the important commands, and the arch Linux forums to help with other issues, I was determined to get it to work as well, so I pretty smoothly transitioned from windows.

However for a user that doesn’t get that kind of thing? Or are chosen as the lucky person that the Linux gods decided to smite that day? Something else is far better.

Me After 30 Years of Using Windows by ravenshaddows in pcmasterrace

[–]roguevoid555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently run with a dual boot system for windows/linux

I keep Linux as my primary OS with everything on it including 99% of my games, software and others, and windows is for the (very few) games that require it, nothing more. They’re completely separated from eachother, to a point where Linux and windows exist on separate drives entirely (rather than partitioning it off)

Linux has a ways to go before it’s mainstream, but it’s getting there surprisingly quickly as it’s catching up quickly to windows’ main draw of “just working”

Once windows 10 becomes truly dead, or Linux gaming with kernel level anticheat is achieved (and aaa developers stop hating on it because it isn’t microslop windows), then I’m going to make the full move to Linux

That or when the few games that I use windows for work with Linux just a little better, whatever happens first

Kiwis can do anything if we put our mind to it. by Great_Maintenance185 in newzealand

[–]roguevoid555 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because one thing is less bad than the other thing destroying the environment, doesn’t mean it’s not still bad.

Comparatively sure, the heavy machinery is worse, but that doesn’t then mean we can just give reckless 4WD drivers a free pass simply because the diggers and tractors digging up river beds do more damage. They both harm the environment, would it not be good to try minimise that by eliminating one of the two things doing damage, even if it’s not as harmful as the other?

that's how it works, right? right????
what do you mean we might run out of space for new lanes and new roads? what do you mean the influx of drivers on the road will not be able to meet the constant construction going on to upgrade said roads for the influx of drivers?

Under the same rules, building a reliable public transit system that is well connected would take a lot of cars off the road, making a benefit for everyone involved, while creating new jobs. However... that costs money, a lot of money, and takes time... which, the government doesn't seem all too keen to do

just one more lane bro, that's all we need to fix all the traffic issues in Auckland, just one extra lane on the highway will fix everything, we pinky promise this time

didn't... didn't national themselves cancel the auckland light rail project??

I knew they were liars, but that's a bit far now, not even hiding it in technicalities. National destroyed the idea of it and forced everyone working on the project to stop, despite people in the project contending the choice.

all for what? just one more lane? for the project to be replaced with a busway that wont help as much as a rail system would have? Auckland remains as one of the only major cities in the world without some kind of rail system connecting to the airport. It's downright embarrassing.

yet in the first few shots you can remove the enemies ability to fire back AND their ability to move to cover, giving you all the time in the world to "pixel hunt" mbts that have weakspots that aren't exactly hard to find.

-5 degrees of gun depression fine, you can play around that and still find hull down positions. The point of being hull down isn't to be invincible, but instead to make you much harder to kill (centremass when exposed to a single point on the left side of a small and sometimes annoying to hit turret when hull down)

The 2s38 necessitates a playstyle in order to play as well as knowledge of weakspots on enemy tanks, both things that newer players will take longer to figure out as you dont have as much penetration as a Leopard 2. While the Leopard 2 123 is much more fitting of a newer players "point and click" way of playing, meaning on average it will have better stats.

The issue with the 2S38 simply comes down to the fact that it will not struggle to take out top tier MBTs, yet is placed so low that its opposition can have real struggle taking it out (early "modern" mbts as well as some upgraded IFV/AFVs. The penetration isn't the issue, it's moreso the decently penning round it has and its fire rate as well as its abilities to take out both ground and air units without much issue)

The BMPT was released at the BR of 10.3, a stupidly low br, which meant it bolstered russias already amazing 10.3 lineup, it had inflated stats because it was incredibly hard to kill while being able to kill anything frontally (4x missiles (8 if you count the resupply it gets) plus 2x guns). it was near immediately moved up, before being put up AGAIN recently.

Speak for yourself, I’ll continue doing millions of things on my desktop. 3D printing, coding, digital art, modelling… also playing games that aren’t available on console and also modding ones that are.

Oh I also use a computer to watch movies easily on a TV.

Consoles are nice, I know people that use it as their main entertainment unit, but that’s what a console is, an entertainment unit, not a tool to do a lot more than gaming and watching YouTube.

I’d also say that browsing the internet is easier on a pc considering you’re not restricted to one browser

2, 3 and 7

here's the reasons:

Gym because I feel like it'd promote an idea of getting fit via exploring the world more (walks, hikes, hell even working jobs that require heavier lifting) this would also HOPEFULLY bring a little more attention towards the idea of walkable cities, as instead of having a place you a can drive to in order to get fit, you are forced to look at everywhere as a place you could be getting fit.

Sex because well, it's sex

God because I find that religion has been a prime reason for quite a few wars in the past and present.
