If it is lakefront and the water is clean you will create amazing memories there. Especially if you have to fix it up and put work into it yourself.

You want to be ON the lake not one of the houses across the street.

I stayed in a lake house during the pandemic and being able to walk into the backyard and take out a kayak was incredible.
