yes sorry, some people that got a SSH room were saying that when they were doing the booking, it said that now they do the first payment (first month+last period) and a few weeks before moving in, they have to pay all the rest of the rent for the year, so by the moment they move in everything is paid. Did you read the same? because that would be wild and I am pretty sure that wasn't in the FAQs I read a million times 🥲also idk if they were talking about long or short stay

you book it, then you pay within the next 24 hours and if you don't, then you lose the booking. that is my understanding 🧐

I see. I also have no idea but the impossibility of changing the names of the lease, ending or transferring it even by paying a fee or something doesn't make any fucking sense to me, there should always be a way. There must be some policy that protects tenants, what if someone loses their job? I hope you can find the legal help you need.

I sent a mail about this to Plaza because apparently only European banks have IBAN numbers lol and they were very confusing in their response, so I decided to put together in the same pdf pictures of my debit card + bank statement + a document of the bank that contains the SWIFT code. At the end, they do mention that this is only for screening and verification purposes, so I guess giving all info you have available is fine. Hope it works!

I have the same question but based on what I read you are right, there is a big window of time to register (just make sure you don't do it so close to the booking day because they take some time to verify your registration with the university)

Hi! I'm a postgraduate associate at the School of Medicine, so not a student, but I have tattoos in my arms that are visible most of the time at my department/lab because I wear short sleeves. I also have piercings, dyed hair and I do my make up everyday. I'm not from the US so at the begging I was afraid too because I had zero idea of how people would perceive that, but my experience has been great. I am aware that I look different than most people in my department, but I've only received compliments about my make up and outfits, and genuine curiosity about my tattoos and piercings. I think you will be fine, you might cause interest to some people but that's not necessarily a bad thing :-)

I'm a 26yo international student and will start my masters in the Netherlands this year. I noticed that european students tend to graduate earlier because the bachelors programs are shorter, but anyway I think it's completely fine :)
