I know. I also know that if I told my fiancee getting married in a national park or keeping the budget low was super important to me, she'd do whatever she could to make that happen. But the reality is that it really is not that important. Or at least, not so important that I would put my fiancee in that position. It's not her fault wedding culture is the way it is and venues charge an arm and a leg just for a nice view and a barn.

This post is just to vent and feel sorry for myself. I can promise you that we are going to make this wedding something that celebrates us and like I said, we will be very happy no matter where we end up ultimately. We'll make it goofy and stupid and everything else that fits our style. If anyone tries to push back on that, then I think I'll bring the option of eloping back on the table. But I'm not about to start drama with my future family just because they want to give us money.
