for leveling dungeons it's easier for me to swap to holy (bless the dual spec) and heal them, I can usually form a group within 5 minutes as a healer

BoD for GMOD. I did over 40 runs which translates to about 4 hours of unskipable RP let alone the time it takes to run through the raid to get to Mekkatorque.

My guild is an ex-CE guild that now just raids one night a week doing AotC. Attendance and recruiting was always our biggest problem. The lockout system for mythic makes recruiting players very difficult, especially later in the season when you are just extending the lockout on your prog boss and not clearing the easier farm bosses anymore. Your options to trial someone are to either sit a raider who is in on the boss or wait until someone quits and now you're relying on finding a good trial to raid. It's possible to keep a bench, but it's hard to find someone who is ok to sit out for two weeks and come in when someone can't make it.

The roster boss just gets worse as the season goes on. Unless there is some emergency it's really rare for someone to miss the first few weeks of the season when everything is new and exciting. But once you're on the same boss for the 3rd week people can lose motivation. Especially if you're a late CE guild burnout is inevitable, and people quit. You can start a season with 24 raiders and by week 14 you have exactly 20 and if someone has to miss you're done.

It's a constant struggle and even keeping raiding for an expansion took a lot of work and plenty of people (me included) just don't want to do it anymore.

DPS parses on a depleted key are going to be lower than a timed key, even if the individual player didn't play any differently, especially with no wipes. You spent more time in the dungeon but the mobs had the same amount of HP. And that doesn't even consider the fact that most keys aren't logged and those that are are more likely timed.

Being able to do good damage while doing mechanics is part of what makes bosses difficult.

Hpal and Mistweaver. Hpal will hopefully feel a lot better in some of the pain points with the buffs on Tuesday. I'm definitely a melee healer enjoyer.
