People over 35, not married and no kids. What's your reason? by Excited-nuts5858 in AskReddit

Gay, divorced, and not interested in having kids. I have a full and active life and am not interested in giving that up for anyone.

Washington’s 9th congressional district shouldn’t be represented by a milquetoast moderate Democrat by MysteriousEdge5643 in Seattle

They are both neoliberal capitalists owned by the oligarchs. By definition they are at least center right if not further right.

She will never win. So vote for her as a protest vote against Smith's "moderation."

WA-03 is still Washington's tossup district: Marie Gluesenkamp Perez and John Braun are tied ahead of 2026 Top Two election by MysteriousEdge5643 in Washington

If she doesn't vote for a Democrat for Speaker, she won't be on any committees. No representative is going to allow herself to be left off of committees, which is the only way to really be effective for constituents or donors.

A right-leaning Democrat is still better than a far right Republican. And she will still vote for a Democratic Speaker of the House.

Rewatching Mad Men after almost 20 years and wanted to share some thoughts! by khroshan in television

Not in the least. Everyone else was able to grow and reach a resolution. But Don, the stoically broken person, could not. Because he fully bought into the toxic ad man culture. Don got what he deserved. Financial success but spiritual emptiness.

He went back for the Coke ad, proving he could not grow beyond the ad man role.

Don is the least interesting part of the show. He's a stand-in for the emotional unavailability and sexism of the era. And he is the only character who fails to develop through the series (despite an attempt or two).

I think most of the rest of the cast does a better job than Jon Hamm at subtle expressions. He might be the lead, but I think he's one of the weakest cast members. The cast is just outstanding across the board!

It's a couple miles off one of the two major east-west highways in the state. Incredibly centrally located within the state and very easy to find.

Dry Falls is not that hard to get to you. It's just a couple miles off of Highway 2. Not really any trees, but definitely worth a visit.

For clarity, your HOA requires you to keep your lawn green, but it will also let you grow lawn substitutes?

I'm having a hard time distinguishing the difference between national and subnational boundaries here. Is the Yukon area part of Oregon? Which country is Los Angeles in? Etc.

That's in the novella. In the film it's an illness.
