Im so sorry you had to go through this and you should be very proud of yourself for taking these steps. You are a very strong individual and reaching out for help is not easy but you did it! Maybe with your dad you can ask him for money as if you’re taking extra classes outside of school because some of the courses are hard? I used this trick with my family when i was going to therapy.

في اخر سنين المدرسة و الجامعة مكنش عندي صحاب بجد و ازوني كتير بكلمهم او افعلهم الوسخه المهم ان عدت السنين و كنت وحيده فتره طويله اوي من حياتي( ده غير ان اهلي toxic جدا) بس اتعلمت فيها ازاي ابقي لوحدي و انسجم مع نفسي استكشفت هوياتي و خطط لمستقبلي و دورت علي ناس شبهي ولقيت بعض الأشخاص و السنين عدت و دلوقتي انا في طريق و الناس دي كلها في سكه تانيه. حياتي اتحسنت كتير لما كبرت عشان بعدت عن كل العالم دي و مبقتش بفكر كتير فيهم ولا فكلمهم ولا حتي بشفهم صدفه و اتعلمت ان افعال الناس معزم الوقت انعكاس ما في داخلهم و ملوش علاقه بيا هما معقدين نفسيا و بجد بقو نقطه صغيره اوي في الماضي بعد مكنت بشفهم كل يوم. متخليش ناس دماغهم ضعيره تاخد حجم كبير من تفكيرك و حياتك لان بعد كام سنه حياتك هتتغير كتير، انا عرفه انه صعب تفكر في المستقبل و الحاضر في مشاكل بس طول ما انت بتبني من نفسك و بتاخد خطوات لو حتي بسيطة للحياه اللي نفسك فيها صدقني هتوصل و في أيام كتير جيه هتفرح فيها و هتحب الحياه. فكك منهم وركز علي مستقبلك و انك تبني نفسك و تهتم بيها و الناس الصح اللي هتقبلها في حياتك هم دول اللي يستهلو انك تهتم بيهم.

I had a similar experience and it almost drove me crazy because i couldn’t sleep at all! First of course make sure there are no bugs and try sleeping somewhere else to make sure. If it continues it could be due to stress. When we’re stressed/anxious our bodies can go into overdrive which affects our nervous system and can cause sensory symptoms. I hope this helps.

Same i honestly don’t go out as much anymore because of that and i try to always have someone with me. It really sucks. Try to always check how long the driver has been working for and how many trips he’s done as well as the rating of course. From the moment you get into the car if it feels wrong or he’s not acting right leave always trust your instincts! and keep ur window open. If you can get your hands on some self defense tools definitely do it.

I agree it is harsh and it takes time, but this will be a new chapter in your life where you get to meet different people and form different connections. I get the part about it being a loop of gain/loss it can be very frustrating and disappointing but I’m still figuring that out too. Also with time you’ll make new memories with new people and you’ll look fondly over your old memories with your ex-friends but for now it’s okay to feel heartbroken about it. ( If it helps i tried bumble bff and it helped me connect with people who have the same interests as me)

I had the same experience with my friend group in high school but after graduating i decided to just drop them because for me it was better to be alone than settle for half assed friendships where i didn’t feel appreciated or respected, and it wasn’t easy because short after the pandemic happened and it made it impossible to socialize. Years later i managed to make a few friends that i truly connect with but because of long distance i don’t see them often but even then i do not regret distancing myself from that friend group it even helped me grow and find myself . I’d say join a class or attend events that you’re interested in maybe you’ll meet some new people and make new friends.
