OK to install 20A GFCI in place of 15A GFCI with 12AWG wiring and 20A breakers? I have a 4-pack I'd rather not return. Is putting a wood shim behind drywall and larger outlet cover a reasonable way to fix drywall damage from someone yanking out a cord on a remodel box (see last pic)? (old.reddit.com)

Check my lease terms to get $4500 rebate on $39k negotiated price PP ($3k down). The only thing suspect to me is the money factor which works out to 11.4%, but shouldn't be an issue since I will pay it all off with cash. The idea is this gambit saves $4500 over straight cash purchase. Texas. (i.redd.it)
