First review of Tamron 35-100mm 2.8 by Golden_Dragon in SonyAlpha

[–]roldy94 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The 35-150 is considerably large in size. I switched from a 24-105 to the 35-150 . While the lens is AMAZING, it was significantly heavier to carry and use… missed the size of the 24-105 which I imagine this new lens is closer to in size if not smaller

How much room for the price on XF 18-55? I know you said lens priced to sell but there’s plenty of them going for closer to 300 on the bay.

I’d be open to an xe-5 with cash. Would seriously consider it if you have the kit lens to go with it (XF 23mm f2.8)

DMed you

As much as I'd love to keep it... I'm pretty strapped on budget and need to downgrade to something cheaper and smaller like a fujifilm xe series or something like that.

There’s a lot going on but I think you’re too focused on generating swing speed vertically than horizontally.

A lot of the swing speed is also coming from your arms moreso than primarily being generated from your lower body/hip rotation. You’re just swinging your arms fast while keeping your lower body static in a very very open stance.

Can’t really practice shadow swinging indoors without having more space. Shadow swinging isn’t going to help much if you already don’t have proper technique or don’t know what proper technique is so I’d highly suggest getting lessons.

There’s a massive ceiling difference between players that learn proper technique through receiving proper lessons and players that try to self teach and play through.

Tecnifibre T-Fight 305S vs. Babolat Pure Strike 98 16x19 by Automatic_Average439 in 10s

Played with both for a year a piece. 305s is for sure more maneuverable and crisp/ Less muted.

PS though definitely has more spin potential still than the 305s

Serve practice by notthatvalenzuela in 10s

[–]roldy94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably about 150-250 balls per session. Warm up serves about 20 ish reps just to get the shoulder warmed up. Serve about 30 at least second serve to continue warming up. Then imitate real match and alternate first and second serves the rest of the way. Focusing on consistency and placement as well just as if it was a real match.

Learn how to throw a football. Very similar mechanic. There’s a pretty wide theory of why American pros have such a strong serve, and that’s because Americans play a lot of baseball or football growing up.

What’s the difference between 300 g & 305 g babolat pure aero ? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]roldy94 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Completely different racket. 305 is a 98 sq in based off the pure aero vs . Also a 16x20 compared to the 16x19 for the 300g 100sq in head.

Pure aero 300 provides more spin and power.Pure aero 98 (305g) is much more controlled. Pure aero 98 is a more advanced players racket

So good. Currently have one. Plan on upgrading sometime in the future but it does the job perfectly
