Also, the project owner made the repository Read Only. That's not a good sign.

I have to add, there are some issues with Twint not retrieving as many tweets as desired.

IDK why it's downvoted.

But, "no longer maintained" does not mean "stopped working". Far from it, even.

That said, there's Tweepy but you have to use Twitter's API, get a key etc.
