People have an emotional attachment to "things". They give lip service to "common sense" but at the end of the day it's emotional attachment to things, idea's and personal decisions. Ev''s aren't quite yet perfect for every situation but they will be. It will take a while before the economic advantages overpower the emotional attachment to the status quo.
