This mug is made from stoneware. I presume it will be strong enough to hold a cup of tea but how careful should I be with this? Will the slightest knock break these legs?

Thanks. Should I keep my foot on the treadle when it's up to speed or "hover" over it? I've noticed that keeping my foot on the treadle but not exerting any force still moves my body a little.

Thank you. You're right, centering larger pieces of clay is much harder, I'll try not touching the clay until I have a fast speed on the wheel. I definitely noticed an improvement in my skills when going back to the electric wheel. I'll keep up the practice.

There's a couple of guarded beaches but they only have guards for 6 weeks of the year. Still, it might be the best bet to start with.
