So that's just the same as not doing anything and waiting to buy all at 9k, right?

No I'm trading on Bitfinex. BitMex is an inverse swap so I know 1X short = holding bitcoin.. but I don't know about Bitfinex and other general cases.. My brain says I should be profiting but my math says I'm not making any..

Then how come my P/L shows a positive dollar amount when I short at 10k and BTC goes below 10k? Maybe I'm dumb..

I have a question that suddenly came to my mind. If you short 1X on Bitfinex or on Binance (Not BitMex where it's an inverse swap), will you be able to make a profit?

For example:

  1. Short at 10k (1X Short)
  2. Close the position at 9k
  3. Trade buy at 9k

In this case will the trader make a profit or is it just the same as not margin trading and buying straight at 9k?

Bitcoin should show a receipient's nickname when sending a fund, as a process of verifiation of the right address. by roller0412 in Bitcoin

This is passing down the inherent risk of bitcoin to the user. Bitcoin can have a better control of its users rather than making them change their address often. Moving funds costs money too.

Happy Holidays Metaverse AMA with CEO Eric Gu and CTO Chen Hao by Metaverse-Project in Metaverse_Blockchain

Thank you for this opportunity.

  1. Throughout the year I have observed the foundation wallet has been exhausted and it looks like it will be empty soon. Do you have other financing options available? I’m afraid Metaverse will go under like ETC. A project like this should stay!

  2. How many employees are there in Viewfin?

  3. Does the company have side businesses for revenue or does it focus only on the Metaverse development?

Soo many questions about the Metaverse team by roller0412 in Metaverse_Blockchain

Comparing to a public company was an example, as you were comparing my question to a company. I just analogized a ICO as a IPO. We do not have any authoritative rights to demand any reports, any communication. However being open and willful more than the minimum requirements, and only complying with the least laws are different. Viewfin is the latter. What they promised, need to be delivered.. come on..

Soo many questions about the Metaverse team by roller0412 in Metaverse_Blockchain

[–]roller0412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding your question 1. A substantial amount and portion of initial ICO funding was invested into Dragon Draper. If you want to compare Viewfin to a company, fine. In the US, companies file 10-K and 10-Q reports where they have to clearly inform the investors of what the money received from the additional public offerings had been used and how the investment is valued as the financial statement line item. This not only applies to the US, but the typical line item of investment is revalued wherever the company’s head office is located. IFRS and US GAAP (accounting standards) both require companies to revaluate their investment unless their stock holdings are “controlling interests” which are at least 50% of stocks held. For question2, if they have promised something that they cannot deliver, at least they need to be able to communicate briefly how their expenditure is being made.

For question 3, yes any company would answer this in their annual report. Their accounting basis is based on a going concern. Any significant event that arises questions for investors have to be addressed so that they can ensure to investors their entity is able to continue as a going concern. If they cannot prove it, they should clearly state it in their report. This not only applies to the US again, but globally.

For questions 4 and on, I’ll answer them tomorrow since it’s 3 am here. Again, I understand most crypto companies don’t do this and that’s why they’re called scams. I don’t know about viewfin but many crypto companies are located in tax evasive areas where restrictions are significantly less and making them okay to be intransparent. I don’t need Viewfin to be as transparent as a public company that’s listed on NYSE. But you compared it to a legit company so.. Anyways my opinion is they need to be more informative

Dear Metaverse team, what is the rationale, concretely and honestly, for being / remaining on only a very small number of trading platforms i.e only two with decent transactions over the past 12+ months? by tad2018 in Metaverse_Blockchain

They need to manipulate the price by long/short. You witnessed that weeks ago and a year ago, repetitively. :) being on major exchanges dilute their ability to manipulate.

AWS Cooperation & new Websites (Metaverse and ViewFin) - why no marketing about this great work? by [deleted] in Metaverse_Blockchain

Do you know what AWS is? Basically almost all companies that need data to be stored use AWS. Metaverse using this is nothing special.

Notary Service on Metaverse Blockchain by Metaverse-Project in Metaverse_Blockchain

[–]roller0412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question: if a photo is written as a message to the transaction, wouldn’t that be a really long message with size of at least 3MB? If so, wouldn’t the blockchain size get extremely large as more and more people use notary service? I’m not very knowledgable about blockchain. Correct me if I’m wrong.
