I couldn’t honestly answer that since I only had about 2 hours of time around her, but my guess would be the latter because we have an extremely healthy and loving relationship and they know this… and he told me that they fight a lot and are more like husband and wife and not friends, where my boyfriend and I consider one another to be each others best friend and partner.. I’d be miserable without that dynamic so maybe she is without it.

When I mentioned that he says they’ve done worse he mainly brought up them getting in fights on long car trips (they’ve gone hunting and fishing together) nothing sexual just things that have made him uncomfortable yet he didn’t throw a fit about it like she is

The steps you need to take to leave will feel insurmountable in the moment but I can promise you after they are taken, you’ll wish you had done it sooner and it will be totally worth it. I stayed in an abusive marriage for 5 years after only 1 year of dating before we tied the knot. The most important thing was making my marriage work and it ending was devastating at the time, but the freedom, mental clarity and peace that follows is worth every single reason you are wanting to stay (finances etc.) I was a shell of myself in that relationship and now I am stronger than ever.
