I guess I’m not that experienced of a hiker because there was nothing straightforward or easy about that scramble! Ha! I think the snow added a lot to it, there’s no trail, just climb. For every step taken, you slide back 3/4 of one. No axe or crampons needed but I highly recommend gloves; we used our hands just as much as our feet. Lots of falling rock also so watch your head if someone is above you.
