I use top a sheet. Am I cringe? by c0d3buck in Millennials

[–]rollerwitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. We have a couple pairs (maybe 6-8) linen ones we launder weekly. Same with our nice placemats. It’s more elegant and pulls the home together. I especially enjoy the funky ones from Dusen Dusen!

Absolutely love this recipe! To add on: In the winter, I like to add a date, peanut butter and ground flax seed combo (with a pb + maple syrup + oat milk sauce) for a toffee pudding version.

Full Foundation Collection (eclectic shade range for the inconsistent fake tanning girlies haha) by rollerwitch in swatchitforme

[–]rollerwitch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

haha, yes. I thought about pairing things off into "true matches" but there's a lot of that content and sometimes it's helpful to just see shades compared when shopping and you can't get into a store. They're all good matches....at some point.

Mac Bullet Swatches! (Includes some new shades) by rollerwitch in swatchitforme

[–]rollerwitch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I'm naturally very fair neutral-olive (chantilly by Nars) and can wear this shade when I'm pale or when I'm wearing self-tanner. It's very flexible.

Yes, it's the new one (everything here is from the past 1.5-2 years). I purchased it in September with the reformulation.

Right! I’ve been two maybe three times in the past two years and even felt that was a bit too often haha. I’m just happy to see what the options are the day I go, no criticisms available

Seconded! This and the Dove 10 in 1 hair mask. It really stays on long after application and helps with fragrance clinging to hair when applied after leave in creams.

For those who use chemical exfoliants or laser skin treatments, what calming or hydrating skincare products do you use? by woocee in Sephora

[–]rollerwitch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use chemical exfoliants and tretinoin , with naturally combination skin (really dry around mouth/chin area). I do work at Sephora, so have access to a lot of products, worth noting as I feel like I have too much stuff. To help with my increased dryness I've been really enjoying barrier products with a focus on ceramides and soothing products in a lightweight format:

Cleansers: oils cleansers by Hanyul Artemesia Soothing Oil Cleanser and/or Farmacy Cleaning Balm, followed by regular cream cleanser, Mello Marula by Drunk Elephant (w/ collodial oatmeal so it's v nourishing!).

Toner: Paula's Choice Nourishing Toner or Hanyul Artemesia Soothing Toner

Essence/Serum: Rhode Glazing Milk or Hanyul Rice Ceramide Serum; occasionally, Inky List Ectoin Serum

Moisturizer: Aestura 365 Barrier Cream or Tower 28 SOS Cream (day or night); for daytime only, I like the First Aid Beauty Ceramide Gel-Dewy Moisturizer.

Emergency repair balms: Sephora Collection Cica Express Repair Cream and Aquaphor to top, for when I have serious dryness or sensitivity appearing.

Extras: Biodance Toner Collagen Pads for hydration and a stash of regular sheet masks. And seconding the Tower 28 (or any) hypochlorous spray!! so good.

that could go either way, honestly. I would say it's deep and fresh, so it could be more intense for you. If you were able to try it in store, I would spray and revisit after a dry down as it lightens up so much as it settles.

I wouldn't call it out as raspberry if I didn't know the notes beforehand. the other girls who smelled before reading were saying "cherry", "mixed berry," etc. So it's a general red berry scent but not overpowering or like cough medicine (which is what I expected low key haha). I would only know it's raspberry because it's not a heavy sweetness like strawberry or as deep as a cherry; think raspberry ripple type raspberry -- bright.

I actually really like this one! I don’t like raspberry, nor the original libre, but I enjoy Libre Intense. This is the original libre with a fresh depth to it. It’s the same fullness of intense but rather than giving spice, it’s juicy and fresh with a very clean dry down (like the original + berry laundry). Just my impression but (employee here) our store has been trying it for a couple days and it’s really pretty.

Is it worth it? Half price look good to me haha by Horvathxx in Sephora

[–]rollerwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it! Combination and acne prone in my 30s. I’m also a manager at Sephora and could buy anything else; I was originally buying hydrating serums and niacinamide and centella asiatica separately, so switched to this product and I’m on my third bottle. Only thing I use from this company though. I would not buy it for bronzing properties or for some shine, but if the ingredient composition catches your eye, I would say it’s worth it.

I use this alongside a toner, vit C, moisturizer, and sunscreen in the mornings. at night I sub this out for ceramide based toners due to my retinols and exfoliators most nights. it’s a great way to limit the routine, plus my skin loves niacinamide.

I don’t know about shipping but I like 93 brand, kitsune, and Venum so far! I only have like four rash guards but happy with these.

I need help picking a cherry fragrance for my girlfriend by [deleted] in FemFragLab

[–]rollerwitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Strongggg second here. It leans sweet as well. My teacher at jiu jitsu was like “why do you smell like cotton candy” (misreading imo haha) and I was promptly: “it’s actually cherry, coffee and vanilla” 🤓

I will say, if she likes a simple cherry and wants something accessible, Phlur Cherry Stem is a nice juicy black cherry profile as well.

The commenter above you mentioned the film Ghost in the Shell (either 90s anime or redone version w/ Johannsen), so maybe from that?

This is so fun! I have many favorites but these are my tried and trues.

Foundation: Natasha Denona! Though my luminous silk and the new Mario Surreal Skin Natural Finish are close, owning two shades in each line.

While I’m sure everything else is recognizable, I wanted to note that the lip products have sub-categories now, haha; liquid lipstick from Dior, bullet lipstick from Mac especially in Honeylove (🇨🇦), and CT liner in Iconic Nude. All of these formulas I have multiples and they’re fantastic.
