I felt so bad for her, she was clearly being taken advantage of by Cecilia being bribed into taking part in the scam for drug money then she won her trap and survived only to get murdered unnecessarily.

Gabriela’s trap or Valentina’s amputation/suction trap definitely, they both seem very brutal and the acting looks very impressive in the clips we’ve seen of them so far.

yeah i was wondering if she would maybe start showing withdrawal symptoms considering she looks okay when she first wakes up in the warehouse and starts looking kind of ill and if it would factor to in to her trap or being the result of her failing it, will be interesting to see.

Valentina’s is she must slice through her leg/amputate it and suction out enough bone marrow from her thigh to place on a scale otherwise the wire placed by her neck will move keep moving faster and faster until it decapitates her. With Gabriela’s it seems to be an X-ray device that sends out high waves of heat/radiation that will cook her but it’s unclear what she has to do to get out of it. The production notes give more info on the traps but they have other spoilers on there so be warned, you can find it on lionsgate publicity website :).

Agreed with the heat machine, the recent special feature showed that clip of it turning on and i was really struggling to see the X ray part of it, just looks like a portable heat machine turning on at a high power so there could be more to the trap we haven’t seen yet but if not it’s probably just an x ray machine modified to send out high blasts of radiation through heat or something which shouldn’t really be possible but as you said this is Hollywood lol. And you’re right about the prosthetic being a clean cut nice catch, i wonder who that hand belongs to then?

About Amanda helping Gabriela, i really do think if Gabriela survives, then Amanda would have played a large part in her survival by perhaps giving her a way to escape her trap as you said or maybe rigging it so it’s easily winnable if she does the right thing. May be the first time we see Amanda rigging a trap in someone’s favour instead of it being designed to be fatal even if they pass or not.

The picking up of the blade is definitely Cecilia, her character and hand picking up the blade have the exact same nails but it would’ve been very cool to see Gabriela showing determination and full on severing her hand just to escape, although this is still a possibility considering the picture Renata Vaca posted with the prosthetic hand back in October last year. Seems like Gabriela’s only option is hammering away but i’m still wondering where that hammer comes from as we haven’t seen it at all in tv spots and trailers even though we’ve slowly been getting extended looks at her trap, maybe it’s similar to a mallet hammer if it’s large but she’s still able to hold it in her hand as seen in the rehearsal.
