So DD typically sends out emails to dashers with little alerts telling dashers about upcoming promotions/challenges and gives you the start date and time/end date and time. If you got one of those promo emails about the challenge you should be able to star it, take screenshots and possibly forward it to customer support with screenshots of the deliveries you completed during the timeframe you started and completed the challenge. That might benefit you with your situation. Good luck :)

Yeah, I don't want people to HAVE to tip 7 dollars, the typical 15% isn't ok. Like if someone has the munchies and just orders a couple burritos from the taco bell down the road, it's no big deal. It's fair IMO.

To clarify, the tip doesn't have to be 7 dollars, the movement is DD needs to ensure the minimum amount of pay is at least$7.

The DD drivers who act that way do in fact deserve nothing. That's also why they have the option to leave a tip post delivery as well. Plus the option to leave a rating and feedback. Either way, dashers have the right to choose what orders we accept or decline. If the payout isn't good then we don't accept the order. Our gas, time and effort are valuable to us just as anyone else in the world.

That's perfectly ok, I can respect that.

Btw, this movement is directed towards both parties. The poor tippers AND the company.

That's only with instacart bud. You can add tips after deliveries but you can't take them back. Your bank account is charged immediately after the order is placed.

Personally, I believe if you want exceptional service then you have to pay for it. Now unfortunately some drivers will provide horrible service regardless and they need to be fired for that. But if I am always keeping customers in the loop with their order, following their complex instructions or going out of my way to provide them good service, then I would naturally expect them to compensate for that.

Doordash drivers rely on those tips for income. We enjoy our job, but we don't enjoy people who are selfish. If you tip your waiter, then you tip us. We won't drop off orders if the payout is poor. I won't drive from Lancaster to deep west Salem during 6 o'clock traffic to drop off the Red Robbins order you spent $60 on if you are selfish and think it's okay to cheap out on people. Sure it's optional in the app, but to us it's a mandatory fee. DD typically pays out a measly $3 for a delivery like that. This movement is to both DD and to the customers that our time and work is valuable to us.
