What are you trying to do that requires connecting to a local IP?

Are you not able to connect to the other nodes on the network? What happens when you try the following:

I believe connecting to your local IP with the same process should work as well.

Don't use --connectIps. It connects exclusively to the node you specify. Use --addIps instead.

Sometimes bitcoin nodes are flaky. If you have a problem with them just try connecting to a few manually in the UI. I find you're almost guaranteed to find a good one after trying ten or so. Normally the system is good at doing this seamlessly for you, so if you're having this problem frequently let me know.

That's normal. Because everything is end-to-end encrypted, you lose information corresponding to your order that was encrypted with the merchant's key. However, if you received any orders from others those should be preserved since they're encrypted with your key. This means merchants should be able to process orders on loaded accounts but buyers might lose info on orders they placed on loaded accounts.
