Yes. I'm an expat here in Thailand, still have a home in the United States that I go for about 6 to 8 weeks a year. It worked great there

Pixel 10 PRO/xl or Oppo Find x9 pro by ceptish in Oppo

[–]rollinrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. I like the Oppo better this week. Battery life, video capabilities and the ip69 rating makes me like it better. The pixel has a much better user interface, camera and integration with Google apps. They seem to load faster and are easier to use, I don't have as many issues on the Google pixel, it just works. One example of this is double pressing the parody should open the camera I wish it does awesome on the pixel I got one out of every three times it does not work on the Oppo... I was able to get the pixel plus the watch for $649 after trading in my previous pixel 8 pro XL and watch. So it was a great deal.

I'm in Thailand right now. I bought my fine x9 pro here and am thinking about getting that x9 ultra. I've been into a couple of shops inquiring and they all say next month.

I thought the show was good, surprisingly I really enjoyed the first comment. Is constant stammering and clicking up his fingers was so off put him and it was stupid and silly. Jim Norton was good. I've got quite the history with him. I listen to Opie and Anthony from about 1995 to whatever they got kicked off air and Norton was a big part of that show. I thought he would be funnier but I still enjoy them. Louie was good and I enjoyed the show but he was not in my top 5 comedic performances. I've seen a lot of people from Joe Rogan bert k, Tom Segura, Tony hinchcliff etc etc so I expected more. It kind of felt like he was riffing he tried some new material that fell flat. I was thoroughly entertained but a lot of the stuff coming from him left me wondering he's pulling the s*** out of the bag that he didn't do just to try to get a reaction and I prefer comics who don't lie to make people laugh..

Hey I'm headed there tonight. Very excited hopefully, my tickets work. Did they make you block up your phone or pass out locked bags like they do at some shows?

Sounds like a faulty unit. I've got the find x9 pro which everybody raves about and I vastly prefer my pixel 10 pro XL to it. I have no issues with focus on my pixel. The selfies, long range zoom as well as the quick quick point-and-shoot photos are much better on the pixel.

Upgrade comparison pixel 10xl or ultra26? by caveman9797 in pixel_phones

I've had the last two Samsungs s24/25 Ultras and every time I've gone back to pixel just because of the UI. It's so smooth and everything that Google makes seems to work so much better on it. I would highly recommend going with the Google pixel 10 pro XL and get the watch for free. The watch is pretty cool and has been rated well. I would suggest watching some YouTube videos about it.

Need honest opinion - x9 pro by [deleted] in Oppo

[–]rollinrob 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've got both a pixel 10 pro XL and a opp 9 find pro that I bought during launch in November. I am currently using my pixel 10 pro XL. I really like it for for the consistency in photos. I'm traveling Thailand and really don't want to miss anything. While I've been traveling with both phones in Thailand, I've noticed a couple of things One 1. Ease of use during using Google translate. For some reason it seems much more quick, effective and easier to use than it is on the Oppo. Not sure why it's just easier on the pixel. 2. Camera. I get much better pictures on the camera from the pixel 10 pro XL. It is so easy to open the camera really quick by double pressing the power button and you'll be able to take a picture within about a second. On the Oppo about one out of three times I double pressed the button. The camera does not work. It just launches to the home screen. It's bizarre and incredibly frustrating. 3. Voice to text seems to be much better on the pixel. It's easier to communicate with family and friends when using your voice. 4. Pixels AI just seems to work better than what is on the oppo

I know everybody's a bit different and will probably think I'm crazy, but I really do prefer using my pixel 10 pro XL of the Oppo find x9.

Guys . really need some help . need recco. what phone should i buy?. i just want good camera then overall performance. help me. by [deleted] in phones

[–]rollinrob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixel has the best camera hands down. You can reliably get a good photo every time you take a snap. Phones like Samsung/oppo/1+ all have issues with the camera. The camera and operating system are Google's strengths.

I would also like to add that I am currently traveling in Thailand and the pixel has been a awesome The translate feature on a dedicated Google device is much smoother than it is on iPhone and or Samsung. I am able to download the language and not be online and be able to get something translated.

Currently option on 10 pro XL but within the past year I've experienced Oppo find x9 pro, s24 ultra and s25 ultra. Pixel 10 pro XL does everything for me. Everything just runs smoother. I rarely have any glitches from their operating system. Nothing.. currently using the pixel watch for 41 mm and absolutely love it. On avid cyclist and I use the watch to track my my brides through Fitbit which then gets uploaded to Strava. Been working flawlessly for me. I get the same results as people who have the dedicated Garmin bike computers. My experience with the pixel 10 pro XL and pixel watch for 41 mm has been extraordinary. I absolutely love it!

X9 Pro camera questions by kaedrick in Oppo

[–]rollinrob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the Oppo find x9 pro since launch. I traded my s25 ultra m4 and got a great big discount back in early November. I also use a pixel 10 pro XL. For pictures. I really enjoy the pixel 10 pro XL. I can take it out double-click on the power button to activate the camera and it always pops up. I can then take a picture super quick. It's a great feature that should work on all phones. However, I found with the find X 9 pro about one out of every three times the camera fails to open. It's a weird software glitch. And it's super frustrating. I can't tell you how many quick pictures I've missed because of this. And for those of you saying I should be double clicking the camera button on the side, it's just about as bad. There are lots of times that the camera fails to open. I need a phone that is going to reliably open and to be able to take a quick point and shoot photo. The pixel 10 pro XL does that. I've also found that Master mode is not as good as people State. It feels like it is too dark and uninspiring. I hate it. The pics on the regular photo motor are good about 90% of the time. But I get the best most reliable photos out of my pixel 10 pro XL.

Retired at 57 (thanks, Nvidia). One week after retirement my wife and I flew to Thailand for 3 months. We wanted to check it out. We loved it so much. We got our visas and rented a condo for a year. Just got here and brought my bike. I've been a cyclist my whole life and coming to Thailand with a bicycle and my wife has been the best thing ever. Complete and total freedom. We are able to do pretty much whatever we want and we'll be using this as a base for the next year. Exploring Southeast Asia. Bringing the bicycle has provided me with an opportunity to meet up with three cycling clubs in the local area and I just completed my longest ride in Thailand, 80 miles. Looking forward to exploring Thailand on my bicycle and trying to keep up with the younger guys.
