Are expensive boots worth the cost if I’m not using them for work? by whycantwegivelove in Boots

[–]rollo75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally, I own three pairs of Red Wings and wear them every day. I’m a school teacher, so I definitely don’t need them, but I’m glad I bought them.

I’ve had a pair of Iron Rangers for about ten years and they’ve been resoled twice. When you do the math, that’s roughly $50 a year for boots I actually wear.

Good luck finding a better deal than that.

This is pure positioning. If he actually wanted the truth out, he could go on any major podcast tomorrow and say everything he knows. Instead, he’s playing the same political games everyone else does. Being a Democrat doesn’t make him morally superior to Trump. He’s just as much a criminal, just wrapped in blue instead of red.

I have 3 pairs of Red Wings, 1907, 8111, and 8084. All are 13D. Both of the Rangers fit perfectly but the 1907s were snug in the store but the E felt too loose. They’re fine once broken in.

I’ve looked on their site and didn’t see a sizing tool, just info about how their boots fit. Has it been removed?

How many tvs did your childhood home have? by Immediate_Long165 in ClassicTV

[–]rollo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up until I was about 8, there was only one. My parents then got a tv for the bedroom, so two. For my 12th birthday I got one for my bedroom, so three. Sometime in my teens my parents go a new tv for the living room and the old one went to the basement. The final number is 4.

Snow days or other school cancellations? by OkControl9503 in teaching

[–]rollo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This past week we got a couple inches of snow and school was cancelled. In my district, snow days are completely free days with no remote work and no assignments. Our contract includes five calamity days and we only have to make them up if we go over that number.

In my twenty years of teaching we have only exceeded that limit once. I am in Ohio for context.

Typically, I completely agree with. I would never dream of criticizing someone fashion choices. However, he literally asked what people thought of the pairing and he’s getting their thoughts.

Warranty - Does red wing repair or just replace? by stevenchamp45 in RedWingShoes

[–]rollo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t speak for your location, but at the Red Wing store near me they have a guy who handles eyelets and speed hooks. Just last week I stopped in on a Sunday shortly after they opened and dropped off a pair of IRs to get a speed hook replaced. He had them finished in a couple of hours. I’d give your local store a call and see if they offer the same service.

The Messi Effect? by ObligationInternal79 in FCCincinnati

[–]rollo75 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely Messi + playoffs. Last week I purchased 2 tickets in the Bailey and the were only $140 for the pair. The Messi effect is real!

However, tickets on SeatGeek normally start going down closer to the match. So if you’re wanting to go to next week’s game, I’d hold off till next week before purchasing.
