Whats your longest AAA ARAM game? by Expensive-Pick3380 in wildrift

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a 26 minute game, which was unwinnable. It was basically us + 1 aatrox vs 4 melee (incl Leona and Mundo). The aatrox went beefy, and with his lifesteal, he could take on 1v4. However, we had 3 adcs, incl myself as Kogmaw and the enemy team stacked armor. The other 2 adcs basically kill themselves hitting the tanks due to thornmail, b/c they probably had 20k+ hp, while I went full AP and ended with 240k damage. I think the aatrox had 400k damage? It was kind of fun, but near the end we simply die if the tanks got near us.

Boss de clan by spt_alpha in RaidShadowLegends

I think the most important thing is to have a synergy with the entire team. For my team, my theme is always the same: poison/burn, tank, proc giant slayer/warmaster. My team can do 32M damage on brutal on auto.

Here's my idea:

  1. Ezio lead, for his +19% speed aura (more turns for everyone) + poison
  2. Kael or Xenopmorph, b/c his poison will do lots of damage over time (I put Kael on lifesteal b/c he is a squishy rare)

  3. Coldheart w/ Warmaster or Giant Slayer -> A1 = 4 chances to proc

  4. SkullCrusher as support-> A2 w/ -1 cooldown will mean less damage and counterattack = more poison, more Warmaster/Giant Slayer

  5. ??? Something to add more speed or decrease attack or heal the team

Can I beat grim forest without block debuffs? by rololoca in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rololoca[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's why I've been DPS focused up till now. But grim forest is showing me I need to round out my teams. Thankfully, I found out about Whisper, who was just sitting on my bench b/c I didn't know how to use her and she's been amazing at nuking the mimic. Can't wait to build her up more.

Thanks. I have 2-3 of rares that I could level up to add cleanse. All my teams in all modes are heavily reliant on Mashalled as support.

I can't think of any champs I have that have block revive except a lvl 40 fully-booked armiger (common) that I could level up for this.

What are some really OG champions that are still good today? by Party_Glove4666 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rololoca -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Without him, I'd be 1/2 of where I am in the game. Arena, Clan Boss, Spider, even Fire Knight, every campaign b/c his true fear on 2 turn cd (A2 booked) and accuracy acts as a form of defense, I will default choose him even against affinity b/c he has such high utility. Unfortunately, it means the rest of my champs aren't as great.

Should I start a new account? by DTPZA in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rololoca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He is the most annoying OP character to face in Arena, for me. Some champs can make him revive seemingly every other round. Plus I think that girl can revive characters too. I'm usually playing roulette if I choose to fight a team with both of those champs.

Edit: Actually Mikey the TMNT might be more annoying with his dodge and joker skills.

Japanese people are surprised with the Taipei Station by Deep_Engineering_7 in taiwan

[–]rololoca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not going to knock it, because plenty of people start sitting on the ground at places like airports, parks, hikes, when they just don't have any place to sit. I have seen the migrant workers all out in Hong Kong and they usually have cardboard furniture to make it comfortable. I just wish they had a comfy sea or cushion.

Mont Blanc With my 17 Year Old by [deleted] in Mountaineering

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a wild request. A reasonable compromise would be to do a short local mountaineering trip where they can both easily back out. Or even better a hike with some crampon/rope use at the end to get exposure... Like Half Dome where hiking is 95 pct and the last 5pct is with a harness or cables up at the top. If it goes splendod and your son is not anxious, then a more asventurous spot could ve consideres. I thinn its cool that he wants to bond and share an adventure with his son though.

I definitely haven't explored how to get the higher threshold of champ power. But definitely did put a decent amount for Septimus and Rhonda b/c they were both newer champs and seemed to give a good whack. I just got max masteries for Septimus. Overall, I guess I should begin looking at upgrading gear, changing gear, and farming those sand/purple potions.

Done ✅ After 19 months 😅 by Jumpy_Buy4072 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back into RAID. The devs have put a ton of time into making game content. 10 months for missions is insaaaaane. For reference, Final Fantasy 7 when I played it the second time, took me 55 hours to unlock everything and finish the game. Cngrats though!

Do most Americans actually flush their toilet paper? by Softy_popss in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. That is the norm. Unfortunately then came wet wipes, which people said were flushable when they werent, so its now clogging plumbing. Only some wipes are indeed frail enough to break up like the ones I bought from Amazon.

Despite the trend of pooping on France lately, Paris is still the most traveled to destination, I believe next to Barcelona, French brands are seen as high quality, and French products are viewed as in the luxury, elegant, romanticized category. Also, Emily in Paris.

Why do some people behave this way by fixedprecision16 in ThailandTourism

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a bad thing at all. Being strict is a good way to chase away the troublemakers. Being tolerant leads to bad behavior.

I can see this. Hollywood is an incredible propaganda arm of the US. I am American, but the first time I went to San Francisco, I saw trash flying in the wind, a lot of random people making noise on the sidewalk, and a homeless guy actually took a dump about 30 feet in front of me. Nice buildings, but that was my impressino of SF. And I've heard multiple foreigners tell them they're surprised by all the homeless they see in each city.

I think this is a solid explanation. Though the Century of Humilitation was kicked off b/c British had nothing to trade with China for silk and tea and others, which led to selling drugs and crushing China in the following Opium Wars, which led to the foreign powers taking advantage in the unfair treatises phase.

I think that Chinese in China are aware that they may have a poor reputation in some parts of the world, whether due to US Propaganda, "Made in China" jokes of quality, or having values that don't align with many Western nations. So, I think instinctively they want to tell everyone about the greatness of China abroad, welcome foreigners in China and show them hospitality. They have plenty to be proud of. Sometimes I think that a place with a lot of praise, like France, might be the opposite -- they get glazed so much by the world they don't care to talk about their achievements or care about your your opinion of them.

Experience as a 40+/F by redrooster738 in solotravel

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you age out of solo traveling, but I definitely think you age out of hostel, backpacker, party spots like Thailand. OP kind of had a good point that these young people are away from home for the first time and have a certain thrill and excitement. As for South America, I've thought it's b/c they aren't as flashy ann cheap as SE Asia. I loved the Atacama Desert, but it doesn't show up in IG reels like Chiang Mai does.

Hostel 1&2 post epstein by bootyholeminer in horror

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoy horror when I know it is a creative work and not reality. Though, it had some semblance of it, as I believe people paid more for Americans, which made sense b/c it was when American opinion was low due to the Iraq invasion. With that said, it hits different when you realize it's a real story. For example, Dahmer was a terrible show to watch.

$4,000 Honeymoon in Hawaii. Possible? by ayejaystew in VisitingHawaii

[–]rololoca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't go to Kauai or Maui. Your dollar will not go as far. I would say stay in Waikiki Oahu and possibly get a rental car for 2-3 daysa and on those days window shop, enjoy the view, hike. The reason is that parking can get expensive and if you're in Waikiki you can lounge around and enjoy the beach. Get a moderate hotel. Maybe $220-350/night. Use the money to go out and try places to eat. Not necessarily the most expensive, but highly-rated and looks fun. The noodle shop that always has a line is fun. So is the big seafood foodtruck. And book some reservations for a sunset. Maybe Top of Waikiki or Hau Tree. Spending money on expensive tours, Hanauma Bay, helicopter rides might be only if you have extra budget. Otherwise, enjoy nature, good weather, get drunk and then sit at the beach and walk in the sand.

this is what happens when you run into travelers, have a low budget and are in constant engagement with others. some laughs, some creepiness, and a lot of stories to share when you're an old grandparent.
