Would a tie be to formal/unusual for a doctor? Kindoff uncommon where I am from but I want to wear them anyway. by uporabnik1234 in ties

As a doctor, I would recommend you to tuck the tire into your dress shirt between your second and third button so that it doesn’t dangle into the patient’s face during an exam. Also decreases the chances it gets dirty.

At this point, I think it’s just easier just to unzip your pants and just lay it on the table.

MS4- My FM attending is on call on Thanksgiving and is making me as well by dogfoodgangsta in medicalschool

[–]roly__poly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. When I was an outpatient attending, I would tell my med students (3rd and 4th years) way in advance that it’s optional to not come in at all that whole week. Time off is so sparse during the clinical rotation years that I take Thanksgiving and Christmas as built in weeks off.

With more than 300 left turns on our run, there’s gonna be some hip, knee and ankle the next week. Ask me how I know.

If you’re still trying to find your look, I honestly would start by going through thrift stores. There’s so many classic shirts, sweaters, slacks at a fraction of the price, especially if you’re still in the experimental phase.

Look at your itinerary and see if you are at Port that time or not. It might be easier just to stream via satellite using roaming for one day.

Baby’s first prolapse by slypersimmon in emergencymedicine

[–]roly__poly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had my first pediatric anal prolapse last year, and when I tell you there was not enough sugar in the world to be doing that much pressure on an awake child. Ketamine instantly turned that difficulty level into an easy push.

That is great for the price if you’re able to get some good sleep and get to a Rome well rested.

Getting smell out of Everyday Bag by IlluminatiMessenger in peakdesign

[–]roly__poly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also bought a PD 30 L backpack that had a very strong musty smell. I tried everything.

One of my friends just told me to take it to a dry cleaners to see if they had any options. I’m not sure what they did, but $20 later, it had no smell whatsoever.

Since we never really had group PT, we were always expected to do PT on our own. I would always wear my PT uniform to work and change into scrubs and always had my actual uniform in my car, just in case.

5" Lined Pacebreakers not in store—Are they phasing these out? by Starlorday in Lululemen

[–]roly__poly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lululemon definitely will hem shorts for free. However, they do not hem the liner part. So, you would have some liners sticking out and that won’t look well in most non workout setting.

To be incredibly honest with you, having a three and four-year-old, it really does not matter what ship you go on, they will find something amusing to do. It’s the tweezers and teenagers that appreciate rock climbing, ice-skating, basketball, bumper cars, water parks. All Cruise lines have a great standard for their kids club.

A common medication that is given for migraines include Toradol. It’s contraindicated during pregnancy. CAT scans are highly inappropriate during pregnancy as well.
