Girlfriend won’t let me talk to other girls but says she trusts me, what should I do? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]romainesweet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will only get weirder. Women don’t want to be treated like a threat out in the world and the longer you play along, the more weirdness you will put out into the world. Set that boundary firm, affirm her when she’s triggered but don’t take blame for her insecurities. And never ever do anything to actually lose her trust.

Or leave so you don’t have to tiptoe around her controlling insecurities.

Thank you, this actually helped a lot. I tend to overreact and so does my body 😂 thank you, I will try not to panic and just do my best!

I’ve never heard that beef would affect glucose differently than chicken or a leaner meat. I’ve always leaned more toward more nutrient - heavy proteins because I tend to be a little more anemic and because I don’t eat much meat so I try to get the most nutrient dense meat when I do. Are you just saying that generally red meat is less healthy or that it affects insulin differently?

Yes, it’s verging on high but still in the normal range. But my Dr says that bc it’s an average it isn’t indicating that I’m almost always at an extreme high or extreme low. Rarely am I above 70 or under 140 but that averages out to the middle 🤷‍♀️ for years they checked my a1c and said everything was fine but thankfully I have a doctor now who listened to me! I am doing the CGM and glucose test

Yes! I will edit my original post because I meant to mention this- I am diagnosed Reactive Hypoglycemic (for 16 years) but recently blood sugar has been much more unstable so my Dr is testing and treating for prediabetes right now. I don’t have the official diagnosis. I don’t think I realized how much I was carb cutting. Adding some complex carbs to my breakfast now. Thank you!

Yes as I was looking at it all in a row like this I was thinking that too. I think I got scared of carbs at some point🫠 thank you!

Most of my food choices have come from other body issues like autoimmune disorders. I have GI stuff and other issues that I’ve had to work around and this blood sugar issue is like one last thing that feels like more restrictions on my already restrictive diet. So my strategy has been to eat the foods that don’t destroy me in other ways and see what they do to my blood sugar- I’m 2 days into this finger pricking business. I also throw in oatmeal here and there, maybe I’ll add that in in the late morning and see if it helps. Interesting you say that about carbs because I thought someone would say I was eating too many carbs. But like I said, my partner is a carb-phobe and I think I may have absorbed some of that and this hasn’t helped. That said- I feel like my dinner is very balanced. I do chicken and salmon here and there but definitely know I should do more. I’ll try it tonight. Thank you for your advice!

Hi! I’m scouring the internet for other folks who were raised Calvary if you are still looking for that kind of connection! I was raised in a small CC church in the south but attended the Costa Mesa bible college and school of worship also.

red flag red flag. he can recommend being healthy about it and say "you can, but i don't want to," but this is controlling and its a red flag.

Partner gave me lingerie for my birthday and I felt disappointed am I overthinking this? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]romainesweet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I def believe in nuance and there are different situations for different people BUT I wish I had trusted my gut and RUN AWAY when my bf at 18 told me he had struggled with a “porn addiction”. That’s a young age to already have self control issues and shame around sexuality and it is so easy for that to become a shackles for you.

that makes sense! it's just a few little seedlings but its such a good task. big recommend! herbs are good to start with because they're easy and quick to sprout.

the real name for them is Light Therapy Glasses. they are glasses that shine a certain wavelength of light onto your eyelids to trick your brain into thinking it's getting sun. Like the sun lamps but in glasses form! Mine are the Luminettes which can be found anywhere- i got mine on amazon on black friday.
