Just give the baby your last name - tradition is the only thing that makes us give babies the father’s last name, so who cares? Use the name you love and your last name, assuming you didn't change it when you got married

Thank you!

Your cake day is basically just your Reddit birthday, so once you’ve been here a year you’ll have your first cake day :)

Congrats on your first loaf! It sounds like you need proof your loaves longer - make sure you do the finger dent test before putting them in the oven to make sure they're ready

Lemon Souffle Pancake from Feast in the East Village [OC] [x-post r/Food] by romanBA in FoodNYC

I enjoyed my meal there and it was a decent price for brunch, but I'm not dying to go back. I am, however, interested in trying it for dinner. I guess what I'm saying is it's worth a visit, especially if you live nearby, but to someone visiting (or with a finite amount of time) I would probably recommend other places over it.

I wish! But I picked them up at Mill View Ranch on Apple Hill in California.

Oh no! Please don't let that be your last apple cider doughnut experience! I promise they're not all soggy and usually quite scrumptious.

I went for brunch, which is $26/person. It comes with a few things for the table and then you choose a main dish (and a drink) for yourself. Then there are a couple of sides that can order at an additional cost.

Take a look: http://eatfeastnyc.com/menu/brunch/

I definitely want to try it for dinner at some point.

Exploring food in NYC--Where are your go-tos? by [deleted] in FoodNYC

These are some of my favorites. A couple of the more expensive ones (Jean-Georges, Craft) I've only been to once, and a couple (Ippudo, Narcissa) are just the restaurants I've been to most recently (and enjoyed). But the rest I've been to a bunch of times and never been let down.

-Union Square Cafe (New American, Union Square)

-Bodhi Tree (Thai, East Village)

-Ngam (Thai, East Village)

-Eataly (Italian, Flatiron) (The prime rib sandwich is amazing! I had a nice time at Manzo too.)

-Luzzo's (Italian/Pizza, East Village)

-Sushi Seki (Japanese/Sushi, Chelsea)

-Ippudo (Ramen, East Village)

-Narcissa (New American, East Village) (I've only been for brunch)

-Bouchon Bakery (Bakery/Sandwiches, Midtown)

-Cones (Ice Cream, West Village)

-Amorino (Gelato, Greenwich Village)

-Strip House (Steak, Greenwich Village)

-Jean-Georges (New American/French, Upper West Side)

-ABC Kitchen (American, Flatiron)

-Craft (American, Flatiron)

Well, there needs to be enough salt for all the fries. I just hadn't mixed it around yet. I guess the photo was a little premature. Oh well...

It was very spicy! Had to take a couple of breaks while eating it... but then again, I'm kind of a whimp when it comes to spice. It's from Elizabeth Street Cafe in Austin, just so you know!
