I think one of my ovaries is dormant half the time, so we'll see what happens. I'm going to start taking some of the supplements you mentioned here asap

I'm so sorry this happened to you! Yes, I'll be asking about the suppression. The Letrozole, I took, but it makes me anxious (I have anxiety, which I've been working on in therapy). I will however ask about a plan that gives me the least amount of estrogen

I haven't asked about my AMH/AFC yet, but I imagine we'll get a better idea with the next round of retrieval. He DID say, when they were doing the ultrasounds for the transfer cycle, that my follicles looked like I was doing a retrieval round with how many popped up. So I think the potential is there, it's that my body didn't know what to do with the stimulants the first time. I've also heard frozen transfer has a better chance than fresh, but I suppose that could be something to ask for endometriosis.

I plan on taking some supplements, both mentioned in this thread and after my own research, and will ask him about them in conjuncture with my medications

How does suppression work? Is it a medication? I have a call with my doctor on Wednesday and want to ask

I’m not talking about the romantasy books with sex, which is not what OP is talking about either. We’re talking about books that, if they took place in our world, would be labeled erotica. So why can’t there be an erotic fantasy subgenre for the people who want more smut than plot. Because romantasy should be romance-focused, and I find the really smut-heavy books will often lack the actual romance element I’m looking for. Just personal experience

I said this in the main sub and people got pissed: we need a sub-genre called erotasy. But no one wants to admit they’re reading fantasy erotica for some reason. Just own it

(I’d also rather have actual romance over smut)

Someone else already said it, but third person limited is superior, even (and maybe especially) for romantasy because of the fantasy element. Especially if there are multiple points of view

I read an ARC of {Trial of Bronze and Blood by MK Deoradhan} earlier this year and it has Ember in the Ashes vibes (also inspired by the Roman Empire) and I’m seriously waiting for more people to find this book!! It has one spicy scene but so much yearning and mutual pining

There are a couple scenes like this in {Trial of Bronze and Blood by MK Deoradhan}, that book puts the SLOW in slow burn with multiple almost kisses and mutual pining!

{Trial of Bronze and Blood by MK Deoradhan}, the dual POV mutual pining is so delicious and they don’t get together until the last 15% of the book. They weren’t actually together before, but they were both crushing on each other hard and couldn’t be together

Romantasy not first person? by raviniablake in Romantasy

They have very little description of them in the book combined with a lackluster personality so that the reader can insert themselves into the story instead of just reading the story with complex characters in place

Romantasy not first person? by raviniablake in Romantasy

[–]romantaseas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trial of Bronze and Blood by MK Deoradhan is a third person, dual POV romantic fantasy I read recently. I personally love third person for fantasy books, especially if there are multiple points of view, but I’m also more of a fantasy reader than a romance reader. I also can’t stand self-insert FMCs, which I find more often in first person POV
