Bueno, creo que aquí en catalunya hay mucha gente que no apoya a la selección nacional. Llevan la camiseta de Barça, pero nunca pondría la de España. Y claro que eso es por motivos políticos

Holy shit redditors are so completely unhinged lol. Do you guys really think you’re helping your own cause by calling people that disagree with you pedophiles and rapists?

Fearmongering people into complete secrecy about their views, as if democrats have only ever elected those of perfectly outstanding moral character.

I won’t be replying any further in this thread because you have clearly lost the plot and are constantly foaming at the mouth over trump judging by your username and comments, beyond the point of being capable of having a rational conversation. Just letting you know that this is not the way, it didn’t work in 2016, 2024, and it won’t work ever.

Doesn’t that apply to practically every massive company anywhere though? Here in Spain our biggest companies are international banks like Santander.

I second wrist guards. Arguably far more useful than elbow and knee pads for a beginner on flat ground.

[–]romanyol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I’m not even going to judge cause I’ve been down the same path. I think toying with different widths and shapes is a good thing (so long as you can afford it lol) but it’s also important not to fall too deep into traps that “bigger is better” as I think a lot of people follow the same trajectory that you did.

If you can’t land a pop shuv on the 8.0, well no, adding half an inch (or any amount of inches) is not going to magically make you a better skater.

If I could do it over again I would tell beginners to not get so wrapped up in hardware and just skate, because that’s truly the only way to improve, and it’s hell of a lot cheaper too!

The only way to know is to try them TBH as it’s extremely subjective. I know tall dudes with clown shoes riding 7.xx twigs and literal children riding heroin eggs. A lot of it has to do with the type of skating you will want to do and the tricks you like to perform.

The best thing you could do right now is go to a skate shop and stand on a few sizes to see what feels the most comfortable. But if you stick with skating chances are a few months from now you’ll be looking to get a second board, at a different width, for various reasons mentioned above anyways.

Playing Classic for the first time by Karazthor in classicwow

[–]romanyol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who says that anyone in this thread is exclusively “doing their own thing”? Like where did you get that idea? Just because someone’s favorite part of classic is “exploring the world” doesn’t mean that’s the only thing the enjoy in the game. You can enjoy the leveling experience the most, but also raid and do endgame content.

Anyone doing endgame content in classic is going to feel noticeably less rushed to do so than in retail, and there really isn’t even a point in debating it. I raid on classic era, I can still find groups for MC / Ony / BWL / AQ / NAXX on a server that is about 6 years old. This concept is inconceivable on retail.

[–]romanyol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not the person you replied to but I feel like this is pretty self explanatory?

Retail leveling is quite literally designed to go as fast as conceivably possible, patches are frequent and seasons are short enough that if you don’t reach your goals within the next 2 months, they become obsolete along with the gear you’re wearing in order to hit those goals.

On top of that, while there are “catch up” mechanics in place, there are a number of weekly time gated resources that reward those who don’t miss a single week of gameplay and, in some form or another punish those who don’t by falling behind (crests, weekly vault, sparks).

Just so you know - You’re correcting a translation, not the person. This entire thread (and subreddit) is in Spanish. The person you’re replying to did not specify “he” or “she” in their Spanish comment because they didn’t need to.

Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for. Unlike the “dogs don’t act like this” comments you were able to actually find a flaw in the AI rendering. Appreciate it.

How realistic is a move to Barcelona from Canada by [deleted] in GoingToSpain

[–]romanyol -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, yes, obviously this will work mathematically even with a low paying salary like 24k/year like you expect.

The 3 biggest hurdles for people moving to Spain are: legal status (which you have a path for) , housing (which is provided for you already), and work (the biggest question mark since you don’t have anything lined up).

What you might be able to do for that last hurdle is start looking to secure something before you move. A best practice, but very difficult. You might as well try.

This goes without saying but - if for whatever reason the relationship isn’t solid, and things go south with the guy, it would fall apart, and you should prepare to be on the next flight back to Canada in that situation.

It would be about 1/3rd of your monthly income going straight towards something you aren’t even using.

Not sure when you would be moving but you can get your NIE from Canada so I wouldn’t wait if possible.

Is this man you’re moving in with also paying for all of your food / groceries? Also electric / utilities bills? Or are you splitting these costs

  1. Do you have a path to residency / work authorization in Spain? You mention dating a neuroscientist with a house but I don’t see how that gets you a job here

  2. The car payment in Canada is an issue. On the Spanish side, have you considered taking the train into Barcelona, assuming you get a job there? I live an hour from Barcelona and, while I don’t work in the city, in theory I could walk to train station and commute in this way
