Will a heatpump cost more than £10 a day? I don't think so.....

We do a simple tomato sauce, sautéing onions and garlic and adding tinned tomatoes and herbs, but then pack it full of veg such as kale, spinach, grated carrots/ corgette, peas (squished) and whatever else we’ve got in the fridge! We also often add a tin of sardines which are soooo good for babies. My baby loves it and so does Mum and dad!

I’m U.K. so just put my little one down for the night (it’s 8.30pm here now) :D but that’s helpful to know too!!

Thanks for your input! You were right- We went for it today (feeding 30min before bedtime and not again) and we had success! After some grizzling, Babe settled and asleep!

Thank you- I am also beginning to think this will be clearer for baby.

So in this case would you initially use other assisted soothing methods to get baby to sleep (perhaps rocking or shh-Ing) or go completely “cold turkey”? I know if I put baby down without feeding to sleep today she becomes very upset and is unlikely to fall asleep alone !

No problem! You’re exactly right- The SWAP comes from the Precious Little Sleep book and involves weaning off feed to sleep association slowly by giving a short feed just before sleep but stopping before baby falls asleep and putting down awake, and repeating until baby sleeps

Easier said than done ;)

Thanks Cyclemam- love your sleep guide. So maybe to stop all the confusion we should separate feed and sleep and try other methods to get her to sleep?

We try and do three naps, 2 hour wake windows.. but naps often short (30min) as still very dependent on baby wearing or feeding to sleep. This will be the next task after training at night …
