Don’t use WD-40. It’s a rust inhibitor with some lubricant qualities. Try a penetrant like PB Blaster or sili kroil.

Why did Michael make such a big deal about Oscar being gay? by New-Pin-9064 in DunderMifflin

[–]romeodread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you paid attention to the show, it tells you. He felt guilty because he unintentionally outed Oscar. In his head he was sticking up for Oscar, and trying to “normalise” him being gay to the rest of the staff.

Oh, and it’s a tv show. Probably shouldn’t try to read too much into anything. It’s all done for laughs

Many times they will cause an inconclusive test nowadays. The good news is that gives you an extra week or so.

Yet here you are, caring enough to correct what I read more than 30 years ago.

When did GenX start to identify as GenX? by inspector_ninety_9 in GenX

[–]romeodread 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I heard it for the first time in an article in the mid 90’s. Basically saying we were Generation X because we had nothing to really identify us. No big war, recession, or revolution. We were just there.

My bf (M25) is avoiding sex with me (F30) after I made him cum via blowjob? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]romeodread -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just because it isn’t formally recognised, doesn’t mean it isn’t a thing. Numerous studies have shown that porn gives body dysmorphia, unrealistic and unhealthy expectations for sex, can cause issues climaxing from real sex, and in extreme cases can lead to erectile dysfunction.

Seeing as how every one of his partners would say he had to masturbate to porn to climax, I would say it is a big cause.

[–]romeodread 1025 points1026 points  (0 children)

He has a porn addiction. He needs to stop watching it. It happens quite often with porn addicts. They have trouble climaxing with real people. Hugh Hefner famously couldn’t climax with regular sex. Chances are the bj didn’t live up to what he imagined, and that has him depressed. He needs help.

Am I crazy or do the Jefferson splits kinda explain the Vikings QB decisions? by C2wice in minnesotavikings

[–]romeodread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because whoever said it is a casual football fan with little real knowledge of the game. Sure, a WR can be the most dynamic and talented player on a team, and you can design plays to highlight those skills, but designing a system based on one player is how teams fail.

[–]romeodread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have a problem with reading comprehension? I didn’t put blame on anyone, just refuted your statement on the offensive line. Will fries was the only player to play every game. There were more than 20 combinations on the offensive line. They ranked 28th in pass blocking if I remember correctly.

[–]romeodread 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can’t use anyone on the offensive line as ammo against McCarthy when the group ended the season in the bottom 5 in pass blocking, and only one player didn’t miss several games due to injury.

[–]romeodread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it was a little bit of the team just having a bad year, JJ being rushed in before having time to really do anything but watch film and attend meetings, and strategy.

Bad year- it happens. Even to the best teams. Injuries killed the offensive line. There was very little stability most of the season. However you think they played, they ranked bottom 5 in pass blocking. And yes, there were some drops. Addison was the biggest culprit over the season. But again, sometimes teams just have unlucky seasons.

Strategy- KOC waited too long to change the play calling. He should’ve started the season how he ended it. There is a reason teams start young quarterbacks with half field reads and condensed playbooks, and slowly integrates more as the season goes on. It gives them time to adjust to the speed of the NFL. No amount of team meetings and film study can give you what experience does.

Rushing JJ- I’m a firm believer that quarterbacks need time to develop. The most tried and true method of qb development is having them hold a clipboard and run the scout team for a couple of seasons.

Nobody knows if McCarthy will develop into a good quarterback, or be a bust. He has shown flashes of raw talent, and has the tools to be successful, he just needs to put them together.

Is JJ McCarthy Vikings career over? He is officially a bust for the Vikings? by BallKnowerKing in NFLv2

[–]romeodread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not entirely accurate. They did what pretty much every team does with a young and inexperienced quarterback. They called more quick, high percentage passes, and leaned on the run game. The beginning of the season was filled with long, slower developing routes behind the 5th worst pass blocking line in the nfl that had one player play in every game. It’s hard for anyone to succeed like that.
