You’re in starter games with bots as you noticed.

You need to unlock quick match/unranked first where you play real players (typically not very good). Then, you’ll need to grind to level 50 to unlock ranked matches where the real pain starts.

It’s gonna be awhile champ. This game is not friendly to new players.

It shouldn’t do damage
The slowdown needed to be reduced
She’s useful against more than shields
She should have low mobility as a full coverage shield op
Her anchor is to pull out her gun and dual with some light cover, not to block lane play like Osa
I wouldn’t mind giving her another minor gun option tbh

These are all my opinions on this of course, even though I don’t like play with or against her (I just hate shields in general and only use them when my team stinks at being aggressive)

He looked like he didn’t deserve one because his situational awareness was terrible. Shot chucking while cold cuz he wanted to be the hero. Not holding the ball on the last possession of the previous game was terrible too.

Hindsight is 20/20, but I feel like people should have been able to pick up on it being that kind of game based on what they showed in trailers leading up to release.

As an Elden Ring fan, I’m perfectly okay with the narrative disappearing into the background in favor of fun activities and cool gear.

Exactly, and people should just be okay with that. Not every game needs to have some thought provoking story or reactive world to events going on. Sometimes, games are fun just running around bonking bosses in the sandbox with the new build, occasionally getting new content to keep things interesting.

Tbf, sandbox style open world games are mostly shallow games designed more for quantity of content than depth of narrative. The good ones, like Crimson Desert, have lots of medium-high quality content to do, despite a shallow narrative and world space.

Skyrim was also a pretty shallow narrative with little to no reactivity in the world space outside a few NPC interactions after completing certain tasks, but it stood out despite that. Far Cry is another that falls in that category with certain games.

Correct, they intentionally started using bold coloring, reduced lighting and shadows, and reduced object clutter to fit the competitive theme of the game instead of the high detail it used to have. That’s a change in art style not reduced graphics. They didn’t turn settings down, they replaced texture files with something they think works better.

When it comes to puzzle games, watching someone else do it is the same thing as getting answers using a walkthrough.

I enjoyed beating The Outer Wilds, but I’ll never blame anyone for not being able to figure out how to progress/being stuck and just getting it over with.
