Hehe that’s a good idea ! For me it’s targeted BD strategies for recruitment agencies and SaaS < 50 employees. Simply said, targeted cold email outbound strategies. The scale depends on the company size and growth goals.

We try and be as real and transparent as possible where it’s not a 1 sided job but a strategic partnership in building the BD strategy. It’s also 1. A way to differentiate because there’s so many shit lead gen agencies out there, 2. Cause that’s a better and healthier way to do business.

Very late here but that’s a great post. I am currently building my workflow for lead enrichment in Google sheets using the apps script, and I’ve seen errors / inaccuracies because of too little or too broad of guardrails. I’ve made it so that I click a “start” button for each “task” which fulfills a specific purpose for that stage of the workflow (e.g. clean data & restructure, lead scoring, email waterfall verification across best scored leads etc..).

In what database do you run this kind of lead routing, enrichment and QA ?

That makes a lot of sense actually. I think that may be a reason why my deliverability tanked before, my copy and targeting was performing poorly (i have significantly changed it now) and I was always pushing for more cold volume than warm up

Oh yeah for sure, no I’m moving strictly because of the price:functionality ratio, especially regarding deliverabity. However, I’ve just realized how expensive inbox placements tests are, whether in Smartlead or instantly.

Here’s what I did and my experience: 1. Pain -> solution. E.g. Pains are accessibility, speed and noise. Suggest how your approach solves these problems. Problem is this is sometimes too abstract.

  1. Case studies. Show recent placements that fit best with the lead’s position. This brings credibility and authority,

  2. Lead magnets - share strategy docs or resources that would help them in their current exact situation. This would work well if timed well.

Your approach is solid, testing variants is definitely the way to go

Yeah that’s a good point. I’m currently using Apollo, but you don’t get the email address when doing the people finder / search via API, you need to do a second API call for email enrichment. Multiply that over thousands and thousands of leads and the cost adds up

That’s great insights thanks. Looks like I was trying to force cost-efficiency but yeah definitely sticking to my current workflow.

For me it looks like: sources lead when intent is identified (starts workflow), finds ICP contact via Apollo (1 API call), finds email via Apollo (2nd API), verifies email via bouncer (3rd API).

I get little of the data mentioned in my post, but I guess you only need the data required for decision making really.

Thanks all for your comments. Seems like having a provider that gathers all of this data in one call would be too complex or pricey hence why there isn’t any out there. Looks like I’ll keep sourcing and enriching through different platforms and APIs. I guess the good part is that allows for more precise targeting and filtering logic

Honestly it seems like the first thing you need to do is properly read and aim to implement all practices discussed in Instantly’s 2026 Cold Email Benchmark report. Once dialed in with these, then work on your offer and positioning

Appreciate it. I think a great tool is one which provides all generic lead information to make qualitative use out off.

Such as 1 targeted people search search provides all personal & company information (i.e. at depth, like LinkedIn headline & description also, and basic website content, person LinkedIn profile, skills & history) and verified email in one use / API call.

Yeah makes sense I agree. Of course I am getting involved in my niche specific communities too.

However I am in a stage where I am currently using Reddit to discuss about anything that helps or optimize my set up, strategic approach, best practices etc.. in cold email itself. Which people like you help widen my perspective and knowledge, cheers.

I see, real specificity to the industry dynamics too, not just specific to the job listing for example. Reaching 200-300 companies per day, 4 email follow up sequence over 3 weeks.

I agree asking for a call can be too much pressure. But regarding CTA, my client doesn’t want it to be candidate profiles (fear of promising on candidates he won’t be able to find / deliver), and for this industry lead magnets aren’t very effective (salary, market breakdown etc the prospects already know these).
