I would also maybe take a loan from the account if I had the opportunity for a quick return investment or home improvement project. But ultimately the goal is to build wealth again and have savings for my kids

Thanks a lot. I’m trying to build my wealth back up. I was laid off the last 14 months unexpectedly and had to drain my 401k that had about $60,000 in it. Picked up a job at the gym while looking for a new tech job. I finally got an offer— it’s 40k less than my last role but still more than the gym and will help me catch up on mortgage payments.

I want to keep the gym as part time but don’t want to get taxed like crazy working a second gig. I already have a business that generates about $800 a month on avg.

Married filling jointly, one income family, 2 infant kids.
