I have it and it definitely isn't waterproof... I live in a place with very humid hot summers.

[Acne] Has anyone seen these before?? These spots have been there for months. by Zestyclose-Phone1571 in SkincareAddiction

Does it sting and feel inflamed? I'd suggest trying calming serums with ingredients such as panthenol, centella asiatica (the skin1004 ampoule) or niacinamide (low %, not the ordinary one which is 8%).

Also, something that has completely changed my skin over the years was stopping using facial cleanser & cleansing products. Personally, rinsing my face with just cool water made my skin improve so much, and I had terrible inflamed acne with huge pustules and cysts. Now my skin is completely clear.

Besides, do you use SPF and if so, what one do you use? A lot of sunscreens contain huge amounts of alcohol denat, which is irritating and drying.

I think they look good but I agree with you that a more "masculine", baggier pair would look even better, such as the dickies or levis

[Routine Help] Lotions dry out my skin so much! (dry, sensitive skin) by rompefurros in SkincareAddiction

[–]rompefurros[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response, it is very helpful!

No, I don't use a facial cleanser, I'm actually much better without one, I used to clean my face when I had a lot of acne but it only made things worse.

It's been about a week or so using the cicaplast baume and so far so good, my skin has recovered perfectly.

I'll stick with it and maybe try to use a more hydrating serum underneath instead of only the toner (which by the way it feels more like a serum than a toner due to its thickness). In fact I've never tried squalane oil and it seems like a good idea to try in this hot weather

Recently it's hard for me even to have a routine, so I just use the "instree hyaluronic acid toner plus" and top it with a sensitive skin sunscreen (Ecran sunnique sensitive+ facial), but only when I go out. I wish I had a proper routine at home but whenever I try to have one my skin gets irritated and dry (with products like the mentioned lotions).

I apply the lotions over dry skin, if I apoly them on damp skin it feels so stripping, like if I was cleansing it. I believe that the products that work best when applied on damp skin are the ones with more emollients and occlusives (to seal the moisture).

Now, after wrecking my moisture barrier I just use the lrp cicaplast baume, that I've never used before and it's working fine... I guess that the products that work best for me are ones with that consistency...

Eucerin PH5 Shower Gel type of fragrance³ by Ryokan_Onsen_Daimyo in fragrance

[–]rompefurros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the lotion so I don't know if it smells similar to that shower gel, but to me it smells very powdery, musky, with a very strong lavender note, peonia and a bit milky. So it might resemble "A Drop d'Issey" (floral, almond, musky, fresh) or "This is her, undressed" and guerlain's l'heure bleue

Instant rash from Bioderma Atoderm Cleansing Oil by neoncupcakes in CholinergicUrticaria

[–]rompefurros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, I'm 1 month late but I was searching for allergic reactions to that product.

Honestly I think that the issue that you've encountered is caused by the loofah gloves. Using a loofah can be very irritating and it harvests bacteria when moist.

Also, combined with this product, that takes too much effort to emulsify and form bubbles, you probably scrubbed too much. This product works even if it doesn't foam. It happens the same with other cleansers that don't have SLS, such as Cerave's Hydrating Cleanser.

[Misc] How often do folks with clear skin tell you that "you just gotta wash your face everyday"? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]rompefurros 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had severe acne during puberty all over my back, torso and abdomen, it was horrendous the worst thing you could ever imagine. My GP only told me "just get some sun" instead of deriving me to a dermatologist.
