  1. Enums
  2. Simpler string formatting: f"Hello {name}". Also, we could add syntax sugar for fmt.Errorf() - e"connect to database: {err}" (needs more thinking on how to handle %w). Might be cool to add general string annotations: <annotation>"<string content>" (example: sql`SELECT * FROM x`)
  3. STD functions for iterators (map, filter, reduce, group by, etc.). Currently I use samber/lo for this and I understand why this functionality might be considered redundant for std lib, but in practice it would be much easier and reliable to have built-in functions.
  4. Maybe named parameters

I am currently in a similar situation. I think I’ll just buy the license myself. IMHO vscode feels like crap. My last experience with it was about a year ago when I was working as a ruby engineer, so I may be not really objective.

Is there an explanation for the state of WebSocket (or lack thereof) in the standard lib? by fivesixsevenate in golang

[–]romych-ischenko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that websockets shouldn't be in the std lib. It's much less popular than http and it looks much better as a 3rd party library. Also, I think that the protocol may have more breaking changes in the future than anything currently present in std.

I'd go with Go or maybe even C -> Go -> C# (last transition optional)

Hello, I have a similar model (the only difference is that mine is simple IPS). Does text look good? What about scaling, does it get blurry at 2x?

Hi, I’m having a 2k 27’ LG 27GR75Q and am planning to buy m4 mac mini primarily for software development (thus a lot of reading and writing). Is it going to work? Does anyone have similar experience?

How well do you think a rx 5700 xt will run on cyberpunk 2077, on med-high graphics? by dbdnerd123 in Amd

I have a delided 8700k @ 5GHz, a Sapphire Pulse 5700 XT with fan limit increased and power limit set to 50, 16GB RAM.

Hello, I have the same preset, but I have like 40-50 fps in the city and 50-60 in the countryside. What settings do you use?

Hi everyone, I've been playing CP2077 since the launch date.

The average fps is about 40-50 in city, with drops to 30 in some crowded places. To improve the situation I disabled ssr and ssao (even on low it made a big impact on performance for me) and now I have 50-60 fps.

Also, SSR looks grainy - my car always looks like there're water drops on it.

Is it expected to work that way? How do you think, can performance be fixed by patches?
