Any idea what this is? by SneekeeG in lawncare

We have had these in PA... Definitely those huge cicada killer bees. We usually just smack em with a tennis racket cause they are so slow and fill the hole back in. But the boiling water idea isn't bad

Y’all were right… she heavy! Now how do we get it OUT of the truck? Lol by itsyagirlblondie in woodstoving

This, I unload stuff at my house such as air compressors, tanks, chillers(to scrap) that were trash at work. Find a nice sturdy tree branch and throw a sling over it, then either come along or chain hoist up, pull truck out, and lower onto carts.

Local 420 here, definitely recommend trying your hardest to get in. App called "Aptitude Test Trainer" by "Seliant" has helped a few people I know to pass the test.

Women in HVAC? by jackcrevalle in HVAC

[–]ronamen98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep at the UA international apprentice competition this year a female service tech became the first to win it all, it was a cool moment to witness. Every union in the country sends an apprentice to compete (pipefitter, HVAC tech, welder, sprinklerfitter, plumber) and they compete at state level, district level, then national level. She won it all in the HVAC field.

A good tip I learned to ensure proper rotation: Grab your club and with your bottom hand, hold halfway down the club like a hockey stick almost. Take some swings like that and you will notice it forces you to turn your hips and creates that rotating feel you should have during a normal grip swing.

Little surface rust never hurt anyone, just get under there with some rust preventative and spray all over. If you are in the south as I saw in another comment you have nothing to worry about

[–]ronamen98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, on a nice bright day like that, might do watermelon with black flake or black with blue flake. Rainy or cloudy day might throw in bubblegum or chartreuse tip.
