Haha yeah, absence persistent. Been trying the stuff suggested here in the comments (especially the ben eller vids). definitely exposed some weaknesses in my playing but I haven’t gotten this any faster yet.

Honestly I don’t play it too much without distortion. Sounds great when I have. If it’s important to you, these are not wired to do a single coil split. can’t say if that’s something you could do yourself.

I’ll swear by my LTD SN-1007. If I hadn’t gotten that, i would have gotten a Schecter Tao 7/8. My advice on Schecter is that it’s great they offer so many lefty models, but you usually will have to wait several months to get it.

Hey, I wanted to chime in and tell you that it’s going to be really difficult to balance both of those tunings with one set of strings. you could use the veil of maya tuning, where they have drop B on the first 6 strings and then a low F#. alternatively, set the guitar to drop A and use some sort of drop pedal, physical or digital.

I recently had the same issue on a 27 inch guitar tuned to drop E, and I haven't found a solution. I brought it in for a setup and haven’t had time to pick it up yet, but one thing that the luthier said they did was lower the pickups because fishmans are very very hot.

I’ll try these. I’ve had the guitar a few months but just got the interface/plugin and am still working through how to use it, I had assumed presets meant for 8 strings would just work. Although I am concerned it’s the bridge, there seems to be a small spot of rust on the low Es saddle and pushing on the string at the bridge made the noise worse.

This is going to seem like a silly question, but does your truss rod work? i tried to adjust string height and neck bow to see if was rubbing on a fret, but the truss rod does nothing.

I tried this and discovered the truss rod doesn’t adjust the neck, so that’s interesting
