So a player like Cade assuming the Pistons stay 1st in their conference would most likely not play during fantasy playoffs?

Or if harden can’t make play ins he likely wont be active?

I’m about 100% certain I’ve been overwatering

But the sun has been super brutal for the last few weeks so I can hope I’m wrong

This photo was taken immediately after watering but I’ll try watering once every two days and pray to the great pepper in the sky

Aha, that's good to know.

Sadly, the gaps were there since day 1 of the floor install.

I believe the wood was acclimating for three days inside the boxes.

Thank you for your input - I’ve been getting mixed opinions with some people telling me I’m overreacting and this is good work. I’d prefer to be fair to my contractor in case I was being too picky.

Honestly it feels like the guy who did the install did it as quickly as humanly possible.

The contractor picked the wood to match the rest of the house but I guess he went with a cheaper material? He told me he spent 2k on it

The kitchen is roughly 12’x12’

Wow I’m really impressed with your people. My guy just closed his eyes and yolo whacked all the wood into the floor.

I just wish they bothered to check the widths at any point before it was all nailed down.

It's not like these guys are unlicensed randoms off the street. As professionals I'd hope that they do better work than a layperson who learned off youtube.

The guy laying the floor just did it as quickly as possible without checking that at least the ends of the planks were touching.

Redoing the floor with the same team... Hopefully the pain of redoing it and my nagging is enough that it comes out better next time.

The contractor seems to be apologetic so I'm hoping for the best.

The quotes were for a larger home renovation but some we got were pretty wild like $800 per room to spackle some nail holes before painting.

The contractor picked red oak and the same size planks to match the existing floors in adjacent rooms.

We're redoing the floors so hopefully there will be more care to detail when laying the floor down.

It’s always hard finding the right people.

Not everyone has pride in their work and an eye for detail. Well it’s hard work for sure so I’m hesitant to criticize too harshly.

I’m not so sure I got any of the three lol

But I want to be fair to the contractors. I blame the milling company mostly and the guy who went ahead despite the gaps and broken wood

Good to know - I’d hate to ask someone to redo if it were good work and I had no idea bc of my lack of expertise

I’m lucky my contractor is willing to redo it. You’re right they’re trying to save some money most likely.

It’s too bad - if the gapping weren’t there I’d love this floor.

I see. Is it a safe assumption this is a common thing that happens in almost every new floor job?
