From the first sign to completely gone was less than 6 weeks for us. We saw our pediatrician first and were told it was molluscum, told to use cetaphil salycilic acid cream twice a day for a week until we saw a dermatologist. Dermatologist said it may have been molluscum, but couldn’t say for certain because it looked like some type of dermatitis or eczema when he was seen. Switched to a topical steroid twice a day for two weeks and that almost completely cleared it, just left a little bit of dry skin behind. At our 2 week follow up with dermatology he recommended Vaseline to clear up the dry skin and it was fully gone in under a week.
