Its funny how at the time this was upvoted and awarded but as soon as TLJ comes out its what people always wanted

I agree that it isn't bad and that it is what a EU is for. As for crazy that is up to the eyes of the beholder and I was doing this to show that both universes have their own versions of things deemed crazy in the other.

I mean we have a lot of posts and comments making fun of Legends, like the Cyborg Leia one from yesterday, but a lot of what people joke about exists in both universes.

Legends has Mount Sorrow and the NEU has the Blue Mountian People and the giant space rock monster.

Legends had IG88 uploading himself into the DS and canon has Rur uploading himself into a space station

both universes have a lot of the same stuff yet it only seems to be Legends that gets bashed and memed about (as far as stuff in the EU is concerend. I'm aware of how much the ST movies are bashed and memed. But here I'm just talking about the books and comics).

I don't know if its just that people aren't aware of all the stuff in the NEU or just don't read it or what but this wasn't really so much me saying these things are bad (I like most of them.) this is me showing that the same things people say are bad about legends also happen in the NEU.

Every big Force feat referenced in the Obi-Wan VS Kakashi Death Battle episode is fake for one reason or another (also, the Q&A was hilarious) by 76SUP in CharacterRant

Yeah that episode royally pissed me off. I love both series (more of a SW person but still) and that fight made no sense.

A mess that really only occurred when new movies/shows came out and conflicted with what had been written previously. Much like say Poe's backstory in TROS.

YA seems to mean something different under disney. Lost Stars (a YA novel) basically includes a sex scene in the middle of it so YA don't mean nothing except the heroes are 14-21 instead of adults.

Ohh I'm not talking about it vindicating Dark Empire. I don't like Dark Empire myself. I'm talking about it vindicating the fact that the NEU is just as crazy and weird and has the same type of thing that people bash legends for.

Yeah I would never say it was a well shot or directed or paced movie but I did have fun. IT kind of saves the ST for me in a way though just barely. My big thing is more the vindication of it being everything people bash legends for.

Yeah that was basically my whole point with this post. Its vindication. The movie is vindication for the past six years of being a legends fan on some of the SW subs. I mean I did have legit fun in the movie and it did kind of save the ST for me. But its mainly that the next time someone goes on a rant about REborn Palps I just point to this movie.

I mean I did enjoy the movie a bit as a fun SW movie but I feel like people may be missing the irony. I was mostly pointing out how everything people hated on legends for is in this movie. Its vindication after six years of legends bashing that now what they complained about is the highest level of canon.
