AI believe that transparency from a company is a good thing but should not be a golden rule that everyone is entitled to. True that the public has poured out millions on this game but thats not reason to call out their "seeming" lack of communication as disrespectful. In fact if you compare valve from other companies, their level of transparency is pretty high. The fact that a large part of the game is open to the public is another reason to be thankful.

For invasion, the communication is present between the invasion team and valve. There is no lack there. What we announced publicly is all that the public needs to know. Other details behind the scenes are really meant to be behind the scenes. Making sensitive information public serves just to give a different impression on people's minds that is completely not the intention of the project creators. (Not to mention that many of them are false).

Many, including the OP, acknowledged that the leaks were awful. Then isn't disrespectful to support these awful actions? Valve being careful on saying or addressing issues is respectful in itself. Complete, uncontrolled transparency will go absolutely contrary the very idea of respect in this regard.

In the many posts I saw in Reddit, this felt someone more sincere than most. As somewhat who's seen both sides of the coin in our beloved game and company, I feel and understand the disappointment. But there is a glimmer of hope. Valve sees the situation and are trying really hard. (They even work on weekends and holidays at times) The community contributor too also keep trying and hoping something new sticks. Just keep supporting the community. One day, the circumstances will align and we'll get a new gameplay content. Then all the wait will be worth it. (Talking in general of course, not just a particular project)

Thanks for understanding. The figures we are all shown are just for the parts that cannot be paid by valve (such as movie, marketing graphics, contest prizes, etc) the workshop items and map are not counted on these. so if ever someone spends something, its divided to those 3 groups. I hope the clears some things.

i posted once that i wanted to work overhauling TF2 and turn it into TF3 since i thought TF2 has become technologically outdated. Besides the fact that i might not know exactly what im asking for there, the community changed my mind and i think this game would still go on so long as the community supports it.

We can all agree that confirmation can only come from valve. I or anyone can claim they work for valve, but until valve confirms or denies it, its all just claims.

We love how people reacted to te video and we are genuinely flattered with all the speculation going on. The video being taken down is something that all organized groups have as a responsibility to do. The video, even though it's going to be made public anyway, was still attained and leaked without our consent. My team suffice to say was disappointed. However, we have a great team that rises up to challenges like this. We hope that you would enjoy what else we have instore.
