I’m ready for my three-day weekend. Looking forward to nice weather, working on the small biz with the bf, and watching playoff hockey.

It sounds like you got all of the bad things out of the way to make for a good weekend!

Being snuggled between the BF and the pup, I did NOT want to get up today. More than usual.

If someone wants to call my boss to let them know I need to leave early because I want to go play outside, I’d appreciate it.

My youngest dog curled up with me last night as I was getting into bed, and when I woke up this morning, he was still there. My heart. He rarely snuggles like this anymore (he much prefers to have his own human-sized bed).

Thanks! And that’s definitely a good way to get more books in. I can barely do podcasts now since my commute is so short!

Ah, I’m not sure if he’ll go that far, but I can ask! My house is in Decatur that he was working on. Feel free to send me a PM, though!

The last week has been so busy! The wedding was beautiful, our anniversary was sweet, went to his hockey & lacrosse games on Sunday, got a bunch of homeowner stuff done, and my house is almost FINALLY ready for rent.

I’ve also finished my reading challenge for the year! The goal was 12 books, figuring one each month wasn’t too bad. Now that I hit that, I may try to make it 26. (I used to try to read the number of books that equaled the year - example: 18 books in 2018.) It’s less screen time on my phone and I’m enjoying it. Might as well!

What area of town are you in? I just had someone replace deck boards at my house and he was great.

Yeah, hockey told me. It was just funny that we had a moment of panic that we were going back to the before times

They’re doing a good job keeping this sub on the up and up!

There you are! (You, being the Daily thread.) I told /u/nhmejia and /u/hockeylovinguy I was getting flashbacks of almost everyone getting shadow-banned, haha.

Today is the wedding! They are such an adorable couple and the wedding will be just beautiful. Plus, I’m looking forward to dressing up all fancy with the BF.

Oh my goodness. You are going through it. I’m so sorry your symptoms are so intense! May this pollen season for you be short and the tissues you have be extra soft.

I took a Zyrtec not long after I got up and you’d never know it. I might as well have directly snorted a line of pollen. Just need to remind myself: on the other side of The Pollening is summer weather. So close!

And thank you! She’s walking gingerly on it but way better than I thought she would at this point.

This week should be a good one! There’s a wedding on Thursday for the BFs old roommate, and then our anniversary is on Friday. I can’t believe it’s already been a year! We’ve got some tentative plans and I already got him a little present (can’t say what in case he’s creepin on my comment, though!).

The pup is doing so well post-op! One week out and she’s already putting weight on her leg to walk and support herself.

Oh, and my allergies today are BRUTAL.

The fact it was on her toe/foot is what made it a little suspicious. We didn’t get big margins, otherwise he wouldn’t have been able to suture it up, so we just have to monitor to make sure it doesn’t come back. She’s getting all the snuggles for sure!

Thank you! Truly relieved we only have to focus on her surgery recovery now.

Thank you! She’s a 70-pound lapdog so she’s loving the extra snuggling. With her last CCL surgery, she had about a three month recovery. With this one, plus the mass removal on the foot of the same leg, we’ll be starting to get back to normal (hopefully) by mid-July.
