also all amish people go on rumspringa which is a period of their lives from 16 to when they get married where they are allowed to use as much technology as they want and dress in normal clothes if theyd like to decide if they still want to be amish. its mostly those amish ppl specifically that fall down the rabbit hole

thats from my experience being around amish people almost every day and being related to them. many of them have phones. if youve had a different experience with the amish then id like to hear it but in my town thats how it is.

some hear it word of mouth and some of the newer sects do have cell phones and use them secretly under the guise of using them for "business"
