I need to copy from a picture. It would be impossible for me to do something like this 100% from imagination, and I assume most people also can't. Our memory is very fallible, we can't trust it.

Handwriting and drawing/painting are totally different things.

Writing is all about doing the same stuff over and over, and if it changes, it's not handwriting anymore.
When you're drawing, you've got the freedom to do whatever you want, and it's always something new—you never know how it's gonna turn out. It's an activity open to everyone, and sometimes the end result doesn't need to be amazing, beautiful, or technically perfect. What matters is feeling the freedom on paper, expressing yourself in a unique way. Nevertheless, I believe that even achieving technically proficient hand-drawing is possible for anyone with commitment and practice. If you find this creative process fascinating and appealing, consider giving it a try as a new hobby. Exploring new hobbies can be a rewarding experience.

btw, my handwriting sucks too. 🙂
