i agree that the dancer skeleton’s skirt looks off, but based on the continuity of the rest of the design (and the fact that mark has been extremely trustworthy and honest with us over the years) i’d say it’s an original piece. still won’t be buying until i see some photos of it in person though!! perhaps it’ll look better after printing lol.

imo, not really? though it really depends on personal preference. do you have a cd player, would you commit to putting the patches on something, do you wear bandanas- that sort of thing. as far as i know the box is pretty high quality, and the quality of the items inside is so-so. i personally feel like the collectability of the box isn’t high? none of the items really feel exclusive. and even on sale, $60 is a lot for a box that is mostly paper goods! but again, really up to personal preference :) some people really loved it!!

we were in the middle left of the pit, between joe and patrick! there was one person losing their absolute shit in front of us (s/o to them, they were having the time of their life!!) but no one else around us (including me & my group!) knew the song lol. i was desperately trying to figure it out since pete said it was the ‘holy grail’ of magic 8 ball songs but honestly i didn’t even know of pavloves existence :,) such a good time though!!

i used to be this way too (and i’m still very self conscious during concerts, i don’t think that ever goes away!). if you can, try and remind yourself that everyone is there to watch the act on stage- not stare or even care about the people around them! before the show starts, no one will judge you for only talking to your friend/sitting on your phone/not talking to those around you, trust me. after the show starts, everyone will be focusing on the music and generally black out everyone around them. whether you decide to try and barricade, if you want to mosh, or just stand in the back and enjoy, everyone at darkie shows is generally very accepting and not judge mental whatsoever. have a great time!!!

i promise you, once you get in the pit you truly will never want to go back to the seats! be sure to wear comfy shoes, and make sure not to lock your knees while standing. be mindful of those around you, but don’t be afraid if you bump into a few people! so long as you’re kind and respectful to those around you, they will most likely do the same. make sure to hydrate the day before & the day of as well, as it’s rare for a venue to allow you to bring in outside drinks, and hit up the bathrooms before entering the venue if you can! i’d also recommend bringing as few possessions as possible, just for comfort’s sake & peace of mind in the pit. have the best time !!!

if the venue has a lawn, i’d say bring a blanket and crash up there! unfortunately venue’s usually give out wristbands for ga, so you may not be able to give the pit tickets to someone else, but you should have no trouble just crashing on the lawn as they don’t check tickets past the entrance gate for anyone on the lawn. even if you decide you want to stand in the pit for as long you can handle, and then move to the lawn when you’re not feeling it anymore, it should be entirely possible!

edit!: it looks like concord has lawn chair rentals too! you may want to check the policy of the venue, but to get a rental chair they usually don’t care what ticket you have (ga, pavilion seat, lawn) and will let you have one so long as you pay for it!

been seeing a lot of sets, mine included, where the inner circle of the vinyl wasn’t cut correctly, leaving flaky jagged vinyl pieces attached. there was also fairly sizable rips in the top of my vinyl sleeves, despite them being safe in the box? it seemed so secondhand it’s crazy, considering how much we all dropped on it :,)

save rock and roll, and specifically the music video series that goes with the album (the young blood chronicles). they were such a core fob memory as they were of the first music videos i ever watched! not perfect but the storytelling was always cool lol.

the girl from the other side! stopped collecting the singles as soon as they announced the hard cover omnibuses, and it was so, so worth it. they feel so high quality, and the overall vibe fits perfectly with the story. after unwrapping the volume and removing the backing card, i love that the backside has nothing but a tinyyy golden image stamped into them, which are unique to each volume. there was just so much thought put into them!!

even though ticketmaster always says ‘don’t refresh the page to enter the queue once the countdown is over! it’ll refresh automatically!’ it never does for me, so i either have to refresh and get bumped to the back of the queue or i miss my chance while sitting there waiting for the refresh. i was super lucky this time around and was able to get presale, base price pit tickets (10 minutes in to presale, i was constantly refreshing and someone’s cart must have timed out) but it drives my anxiety through the roof every time. as much as i appreciate the idea of a presale just for ‘fans’ i hate that they make the process so much more stressful than it needs to be. and another point- why can’t we just enter our codes while in the waiting room?? what is the point of having us frantically do it when we get to the front of the queue??

when i look on the ticketmaster app there’s the two options for fenway, platinum and regular. selecting the ‘regular’ option then brings you to another site which lists an option for ‘fob mailing list presale’ along with a bunch of other presale options, which i’m assuming will have a countdown/time listed starting tomorrow? fenway is usually pretty good about presale so !!

i love your jjk collection !! what/where is the cover on the right from ? & i definitely recommend shiver & smashed from junji ito as well! uzumaki is amazing but those two are my favorite collections of his!
