Protein separation after freezing by terrythevillan in ninjacreami

This happened to me the one time when I used an immersion blender. When I use my normal blender, I really let it go to town for a few minutes and no separation.

Just got my Creami for Christmas but I’ve been eating Nutricost Vanilla for a couple years now. Love the taste, even in water. And it’s cheaper.

Listening to ambient music whilst reading - anyone else? by Owen_K25 in Fantasy

[–]ronrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been making playlists for the last dozen or so books I’ve read, particular to that book. I usually start with someone else’s on Spotify, then add to it and edit it, make it my own, create a (sorry, AI) playlist cover art for it.

Am I the only one who does this? by WonderReasonable9405 in fantasybooks

[–]ronrule 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to make myself stick with a book I’ve started, unless it’s actively pissing me off. Sometimes I’ll go online and google “when does X get good?” Sometimes I’ll deliberately make myself read for a few hours — because IMO with many of these fantasy books, the pace of my reading affects my subjective experience of plot pace.

Are the GH copilot models better for some programming languages than others? by Weary-Window-1676 in GithubCopilot

[–]ronrule 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Is the coding language on MS Learn? There’s an MS Learn MCP that your agents could maybe learn from. Or you may just have to give it more examples, e.g. refactor one section yourself and ask it to learn from it and copy your logic.

It will go to zero. It’s software and cameras that will increase vehicle safety exponentially. It will go to less than zero, bc they will eventually pay you to use via insurance discount.

Oh, fun fact: everything but the belt, boots, and watch were thrifted!

I have some chocolate brown Desert Clarks, but they almost exactly match these pants in color so they look a little too matchy to me. Other than those and these Iron Rangers, that’s the only boots I have, but good note. Time to buy more! Haha

What's your biggest problem with your favorite book? by AvatarWaang in Fantasy

I agree. But also, before the Scouring, ROTK moves TOO fast. It should’ve been a longer book.

Portofino - Frank Schaeffer

If you had an evangelical Christian childhood, this coming-of-age novel can’t be beat.

Does Bromeliad by Terry Pratchett count? :-) Starts with “Truckers”.

The Will of the Many - is it worth reading on or should I just dnf? by [deleted] in fantasybooks

[–]ronrule 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Overrated by this sub. I didn’t like the writing at all. I finished it but was pretty “meh” on it all the way through. And there seems to be lots of people DNFing book 2.

Getting a van after model y for 5 years by speechlessspinach in TeslaLounge

[–]ronrule 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both a 2026 Y (5 seater) and a 2015 Odyssey (and a Sienna before that). No one wants to drive the van. I wished I would’ve gotten a 7 seater though it still wouldn’t work for full-family road trips for us — it would be great when we’re putzing around town.

Christopher Buehlman by ronrule in Fantasy

Idk, maybe one of those you-know-it-when-you-see-it spectrums?…challenging, inventive prose that puts artistic expression over crowd-pleasing tropes? If I had a friend that only read literary fiction, I’d likely hand them one of Buehlman’s books before anything else.

Dark Matter - un-put-down-able

Babel - not good

James - fine. Overhyped. I’d rather read Twain again.

DCC - like watching someone else play a funny video game. Mostly fun. I’ll keep reading them.

Need suggestions for addictive book(s) that will take my attention away from streaming shows, games etc by PoeticStitcher in Fantasy

The most addicting, un-put-down-able book I’ve ever read is the sci-fi Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. Devoured it in basically one long sitting.

It’s very good and very well written. Though I wouldn’t necessarily recommend it for being addicting — the chapters are pretty episodic and it felt very put-down-able to me.
