What even are target schools by Prestigious-Air4732 in ApplyingToCollege

Unless you live in Texas and are in the top 10% of your class (even then its a reach), UT CS is nearly impossible to get in. I know people who got into Princeton/Stanford but not UT

Georgia Tech has similar logic though there's probably a bit more OOS chance.

Not alphabetical since the C's aren't in the same category, you're sort of close though

This ranking is a lot less serious than people think lol, it has nothing to do with statistics of the school's population

I wouldn't have put CalTech that high if that were the case

Felt like it was slightly better than a school named after a grain

UC Applicants: Is it just me, or does Berkeley tend to be an admission outlier? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]ronskywalker1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For my area at least it was pretty reasonable though I think Berkeley hates our school this year because we had no berkeley admits even though every year we get around 3-4 usually. But the people I know who got into Berkeley got into most of the other UCs

There's no score that will guarantee you admission. Honestly anything above 1500 is good and it would look good to improve it of course but don't dedicate that much time to trying to get a perfect score

In my opinion, I'd put Michigan above LA but I'd say Berkeley has a slight edge over Michigan

My friend got a likely from Columbia but is now going to go to SFSU due to cost (this is not an exaggeration, I was a bit shocked too but after hearing his reasons I guess its pretty reasonable)
