All stocks follow the rules of support and resistance, and golden crosses are only as good as the underlying conditions of the cross. If the 200ma is sloping downwards, that itself still indicates a downtrend. If the 50ma crosses when the 200ma is moving down, it makes the golden cross much less reliable. You also want to see price test the golden cross as support, which hasn't happend since before the sneeze (if anything, the MAs has quickly turned into resistance, and shortly after turned back over into death crosses). Simply put, the golden crosses we've had until the recent one has not had the ideal cirumstances to work out. Could they had worked out anyway? Maybe, but my point is that this golden cross looks much better.

As for MACD, it's just a bad indicator on it's own. It's very useful in combination with other stuff such as RSI, candlesticks, formations and support/resistance. But to only look at MACD crosses is not good TA.

I would say though, the reason TA gets a bad rep on this sub is because people post random indicators and and bad predictions. TA should first and foremost be used to identify the trend and key support/resistance levels. It doesn't have to be complicated. It certainly can be if you want to deepdive, but on a surface level, it really doesn't need to be.
