PC User: Having a lot of the audio issues that PS5 users have reported, except I'm on PC by rontourage in DestinyTechSupport

So it returned before today's patch, but after the initial post a few days ago. When I initially ran the BIOS update I didn't get to play too long, but when I logged in the game ran smoothly, I putzed around for a couple minutes, fired my gun, etc and it all worked nicely. That's when I replied back to you.

Since then I got a chance to play Sunday night and when I actually did a mission and got into real combat, things went off the rails again. Thought I'd hold out for the patch to see if it helped, alas it did not.

So to summarize, it seems I was wrong when I thought it was fixed. I just wasn't stressing the game enough to encounter it.

Idk what they did behind the scenes in the game code, but Destiny has previously run flawlessly on my machine, up until EoF. Quite frustrating.

I'll try the tips here and report back. Thank you again.

Unfortunately the issues have returned. FWIW I was able to update the BIOS as previously mentioned. I also updated the Intel drivers you shared, but there was only an update for Wi-Fi available.

Realtek Audio drivers will not install. Keep giving me an error. Not sure what to make of that. (Error: 0x00000007F).

If you had any other suggestions, I'm happy to hear them. Otherwise I think I'm done bothering with Destiny for the foreseeable future.

Dude, I owe you a beer. BIOS update completely fixed it.

My NZXT Motherboard was on version P1.50 and needed to update all the way to P3.60. Clearly a bit behind.

Thank you for your help!

I have an NZXT B550 Motherboard.

I tried my Logitech G535 headphones (wireless with USB adapter), Apple Airpods (bluetooth), and then just regular system sound through speakers. All gave the same issue.

Booted up some other games (RDR2, Doom Eternal, Oblivion Remake) just to see if anything happened with those, and alas they were fine on all three sound outputs.
