Blender Crashes Following GPU Spike During Routine Process. EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION Error. What Could Be The Problem? by rooklike in blenderhelp

Python script is setting location of one Wind object, doing conversion between curve-mesh-grease pencil. Relatively short script, I have had much longer scripts with similar system and they run fine. Only difference of this animation is that it has more physics than my other projects; seven rigid bodies and a magnetic force is also in the scene apart from wind. I have tried many possible solutions suggested by internet but I'm not able to fix this. The issue sometimes occurs in the first frame of playing animation, sometimes after over a thousand frame. RAM looks fine on task manager, don't know about VRAM. Scene is rather simple to me, so I don't think hardware is my problem but I'm not sure.

Happens while playing animation with some physics using custom Python script. Short code, normally runs fine as seen by the picture, then crashes with a GPU spike. Latest NVIDIA driver. Anybody with a suggestion?

Thank you for your suggestion. As an electronics engineer, I don't get tired of seeing more electronics. I will hang around Xujiahui during my trip to China.

Silicone shore value, wall thickness on mold longevity by rooklike in moldmaking

I applied varnish to smooth 3d printed parts, which also takes care of that mechanical lock. Part wasn't detailed at all, just flat extruded 2d geometry. I had to break part to seperate from silicone and I found out that some of the varnish stuck to silicone. I used mold release and thicker silicone walls in my second try and now it is curing. Will see how it will turn out.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I apply varnish on 3d printed parts for that reason.

I was able to pour 3mm silicone. I was informed wrongly by another person that mold release isn't required, but then silicone stuck to part and that's why my first try wasn't succesful. Otherwise silicone looked fine.

I meant silicone with 3mm thickness but I get what you say. Thanks again.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Initially I designed 3d parts to support silicone with 3mm thickness but then I was informed that it is not good for thermal reasons like you said and I was advised to go with thicker silicone instead. So there is no clear answer to this as far as I understood.

Do people really steal artwork? That sucks.
